If they revealed #4, I wonder if it would have caused a glitch-the Wild card would keep opening and closing, but not revealing what was behind it. I read a similar scenario happened four years later-the Wild card was the one remaining square in a game, but it wouldn't leave the board entirely; it kept glitching.
Hey, Mama and Nanny....remember when you would force me to go to school and I had to miss these great classic game shows? PPPPPPPBBBBBBBBTTTTT! NEENER! NEENER! Grumpy old bats.....
Wow, I haven't seen Classic Concentration for years, I used to watch it all the time in the summer as a kid, I wish they had it on Buzzr. It was this show that made me want to buy a Pontiac, and I did in 2007. Unlike in this episode, it always seemed like 75% of their cars were Pontiacs.
This show used to tick me off because the hosts should have kept their mouths shut and not let on that a contestant might have seen a prize prior. It was a direct form of enabling. Jack Narz did this as well.
Freemantle Media should have picked up Classic Concentration along with the rest of the Goodson-Todman's library when they bought out GT, so it should turn up on Buzzr one of these days. Or maybe the Jack Narz version? As for bringing Concentration back, I've heard that NBC is working on it.
@@ralmcg Yes he did. On the one game show (To Tell The Truth) one of the contestants that the celebrities had to guess was the late Joan Howard Maurer (daughter of Moe Howard.
Mark Goodson did a couple of Concentration pilots with Orson Bean, but with a different format. So the show for NBC was called Classic and played just as the NBC original and the syndicated version hosted by Jack Narz, with the addition of the 🚗 round.
The automobiles in this episode: Pontiac Le Mans (don't care much for it) Ford Taurus (cool) Subaru DL (not bad) VW Golf (today's version of it was better) Buick Skylark (now, THAT was a car) Mercury Topaz (don't care for it) Chevrolet Spectrum (don't care for it, either) Toyota Corolla (was as lukewarm then as it is now)
& Now I'm Wondering What Follow up Episode Will it B 4 Classic Concentration: June 3, 1987: Kelly VS Art Will it B Kelly 4 Another Car With Now 40 Seconds or Will it B Kelly's New Comer Vince With Now Only Showing 40 Seconds?
Well, Craig appeared on the"Concentration" hosted by Jack Narz and here's how he played on that version of the game : th-cam.com/video/tSEqZbPGkm0/w-d-xo.html
Is It Gonna B Sandra K. Having Now 55 Seconds But Failed? Or Is it Gonna B Sandra K.'s New Comer With The Brand Newest Time Limit of 55 Seconds But Lost at it? Well Let's Hope 4 it, & C if it is!
Idk what I like more, watching the game or watching the old commercials.
Not commercials!
One of the commercials sent a chill up my spine -- it featured Roy Clark, who passed away just yesterday. (I'm seeing this on 11/16/2018.)
this is a game show they need to bring back
William Barnard I so agree with you! This was one of my favorite shows.
@@georgemaster689 mine too along with The Jokers Wild but i don't care for Snoop Dog's version.
@@williambarnard1763 Yeah. I will always enjoy the Jack Barry/Bill Cullen versions.
With better prizes.
@@drinny26 Absolutely! ABC could have it as part of the Summer Of Games.
Who's watching in 2018? This was the game show, TH-cam!
Anyone (re)watching this, reminder that BUZZR will now start airing this in October of this year (2018).
The commercials are as fun as the show.
This episode was aired on August 17, 1987 according to the voice over at the end for Alf and Valerie's Family and the NBC Monday Night movie.
Yep, and it follows them retiring an undefeated champion (Dennis) on August 14, 1987.
Good ol days in the weekday mornings on NBC 4. I used to own the board game in 89.
I still have my board game

It's on buzzr
A big win in this episode - Craig in the 1st part of this round has won $7,090.
Remember, there was a Technicians' Strike at NBC that lasted several months, hence no technical staff.
This show was taped in Burbank. Different unions.
Wow, I really suck at these puzzles.
Man Alex was flirting his ass off with some of the female contestants
That's because he's an annoying pompous arse more suited to his jeopardy career
I'm still having a hard time trying to get rid of the visual of Craig on a jet-ski.
Hey, Alex should be versed in French, because he's from Sudbury, ON. 🇨🇦
This show used to tick me off because the hosts should have kept their mouths shut and not let on that a contestant might have seen a prize prior. It was a direct form of enabling. Jack Narz did this as well.
Aw it was for good tv. Didn't really alter the game here.

It is
They're both on Buzzr. RIP to both Jack & Alex
@@hoodmistressreloaded Yes, I know. Unfortunately, I'm having a little trouble getting the BuzzrTV stream on my computer these days,
@@davidlewis7267 Do you have Roku? They have Buzzr on Pluto TV in the Free Channels section. Or if you have cable, you can check your guide.
David Lewis Check the Buzzr schedule. It should put your mind at ease. Both Concentration shows play!
Besides this show and jeopardy,Did Alex Trebek hosted any other game shows?
He hosted "High Rollers", the 1970's "Double Dare", the 1990's "To Tell The Truth", among others.
@@ralmcg Yes he did. On the one game show (To Tell The Truth) one of the contestants that the celebrities had to guess was the late Joan Howard Maurer (daughter of Moe Howard.
OMG, so many other shows! High Rollers, anyone??
I diunno how tf people solve these so fast dangit!
I wonder if Mark Goodson called it 'Classic concentration', after Coke Classic'.

When is NBC going to bring this classic back?
Probably never. It's too much fun!
Probably never unless they can garbage it up to fit the brain dead zombies of today and find an obnoxious host.
Never

Minnesota in the house!!!!
The commercials are as good as the show. New Coke!
I wonder if there was a contestant that turned out to be the Rain Man? Ok
So I Guess Craig Came Closer 2 Winning a Brand New Car! in 45 So I Guess! He Gets Mary C.+ 50 Seconds!
Hmm I Wonder: What's The Follow up Episode 4 That Later Variation of Classic Concentration 1987: Glenn + Merlin VS Sandra's Gonna B?

RIP Alex Trabeck
Nice🎉🎉🎉🎉
Gene Wood did this show after family feud.
Tony Arceneux And during the late 80s,too.
I like all but the Le Mans and the Topaz.
The Skylark was the best car in this episode.

YESS
LOL I guess :P
Has anyone ever won a car watched 20 episodes no winners?
Crane win the and you
I think Alex Trebek took this role just to crack jokes, because he really couldn't on Jeopardy.
9:48 that is a vehicle fuel indicator at "Full"!
