I dont have the re-bind issue, i just couldn't get the new 8 channel receiver to bind without the update and once you explained how the keep holding once turned on step - plain sailing. Love this kit - only bought it on your recommendation following 4ws tutorial! :-)
Works perfectly fine on my Fgr8b in my TRX6 and Defender I've also got FGR4s in my sport and it also works perfect. The update is amazing many great features added.
Hey there. Great video very well explained. I am still having a problem. Here is my setup: Traxxas TRX4 Defender FLYSKY NB4 + FGr8b. I updated the transmitter to the latest firmware and updated receiver as well. The first time I tried to bind it was a success. However when I was trying to assign buttons to channels I realised I only had 4 channels available. Went back and realised the selected model only had 4 channels setup. So made this right and changed it to 8 channels, radio frequency set to AFHDS3 2 way, updated RF, I repeated the RX firmware update with success. I power it off and then back on again on bind mode but it does not bind. I mage an experiment with one of the RX that came with the radio (FGr4S v2), I fitted on the same Traxxas. On the model tab I selected another model, setup with 4 channels. Went on with updating firmware of RX and binding it and it did bind. But switching back to the original setup with the FGr8b, I can't make it work. Maybe I am missing something. I wonder if you have any idea what I might be doing wrong? Thank you.
When you switch the Ch to 8ch mode you don't need to re update the fgr8b, I would set the model memory back to 4ch then update the fgr8b just to see if it's a bug set to 8ch, re bind set to 4ch and see if it binds correctly if it does change the model memory to 8ch and re bind :) hopefully that will sort it for you.

If you turn it on without the transmitter being on does the receiver light go into bind mode everytime, if it does I'd say the bind button is stuck down so everytime you power it up it thinks your trying to re bind it worth checking that 1st if you have updated the nb4 and the nb4 radio firmware and updated the fgr8b firmware :)
What did you do to show more than 4ch on that screen?(yours show 7ch) It just shows only 4ch on the bottom normally, cause i want to get an 8ch receiver and want to see all ch showing not just 4ch
The paladin should use the same menu you have to bind as enhanced receiver and set the number of channels you have, on the ev I think your u also have to assign the extra channels
Sorry dude I have another question about NB4 & FGR8B. Under RX Set then Servo Frequency I set steering to Digital 333hz but for Throttle channel what should I use for a Arrma ESC electric vehicle? Digital, Analog, Custom, etc...? Thanks

Hi there! I got the same setup for my crawler. A few days now. But since i got this setup, i got a tremble steering and i can not find or figure out what the Problem is mayby u got a Tipp or an idea? Thank you, greetings from Germany.
I can't seem to get the receiver in update mode. Only thing that happens is re-binding the receiver option. When I press the update option on the transmitter it says it's up to date. I'd love to get the battery sensor to display on the transmitter. Any ideas?
your nb4 needs to be on firmware 2.0.93 then holld the bind button down as you power up the fgr8b and keep it held until it enters update mode, the select update on the nb4 :)

I have forced the update by holding the bind button for 10 seconds then getting the 3 flashes of the LED. Once the Transmitter says the update was successful the Receiver just keeps blinking in 3 flash intervals like its still in update mode. Power cycling does nothing. As soon as you power it back on it still is in the three flash mode.
Did you update the nb4 radio software after updating the nb4 firmware from the pc? Also set a model memory back to 4ch and bind the fgr8b, once done update the fgr8b, re bind as a 4ch and when bound change the model memory back to 8ch and re bind this should then work :)

Do you know if it possible to bind with ibus2 ch8 to the ESC (Xerun Axe R2) to get the telemetry and connect the light controller to ch2 pwm and get the throttle position?
@Alexauscelle I think you would be better to use the esc as Ibus2 on ch2 then set up a ch mix to get the throttle position from any other spear channel

I've just gone back to rc after a year and is got no throttle I updated and rebound but still no throttle any suggestions?
I've seen them do this when the batteries are low

333hz should work for everything but I have got a few traxxas esc's that have to be as low as 280hz or they won't calibrate

They don't use the signal pin so won't make any difference :)

No you have to select 8ch mode before you bind the receiver :)

Does the steering servo work at all? And is it in socket 1 on the receiver?

Once you update the fgr8b you have to then power it down before you re bind it to the nb4 or it will stay in update mode :)
You also have to put the receiver in bind mode once you have powered it back up
How do you get all 8CH on the Start Screen? Mine is showing only 4CH?
Just tap on the screen where they are showing and add them :)

Ch2 doesnt support ibus2, so I used ch8 (ch5 - ch8 does) but a mixing is a good Idea, thanks.
