Medical researchers later concluded that Ramanujan likely died from a treatable infection by a tropical parasite living in his gut and/or liver. However, he was misdiagnosed with tuberculosis. The parasite, still common in India, was unknown to local doctors in England at the time, whereas tuberculosis was common in England and has some overlapping symptoms.

Don't know which universe your from but when he was alive India's population is not 1.2 billion . It was much less and also people like him are one in a few centuries and I'm not exaggerating and he is one of the greatest of all time which is also not exaggerating claim.
