She’s still so cute and pretty in a natural and graceful way. It makes me feel confident in my ageing process to see women looking and feeling their best in maturity.
She bravely broke away from the sickness & unhealthy underpinnings of That industry -- and I couldn’t agree more-- she is an inspiration to us women in a certain age group! 🎉
I love that show as a kid in the 70s. I still watch it as a grown adult. I love the old fashioned wholesomeness and it’s inspiring. Even the Bible is mentioned. Thank u for being a voice for women over 50. We really have priceless wisdom, survived through tough times and have a lot to give and share to the world.
We can reinvent ourselves! At 62 I started sewing again after I could finally get a sewing machine after the worst of the pandemic. 8 months later I’m rescuing textiles and making one-of-a-kind jackets and bags. Thank you Ms. Gilbert for keeping g it real!
I love Little House. I'm 55 and still enjoy watching it. Melissa looks so pretty and vibrant. I love her positive energy. I'm definitely going to check out Modern Prairie. Love the bonnet.
Melissa Gilbert looking fantastic and I'm so glad she's doing well and I loved Little House on the Prairie, they were great and always meaningful stories, she's a brilliant actress and it's so nice to still recognise 'Laura's' voice!! Keep going Melissa, you're beautiful and seeing you today by chance on You Tube has cheered my heart!!
Melissa Gilbert looks at least 40 years younger than her actual age. So glad she " escaped" the insanity that IS Hollywood and is living her BEST life. Michael Landon would be proud of her!
@@birdsfan57....... and the disrespectful, mean previous husband. I rejoice in the special love she now has with her current husband who adores her for the queen she is.
I’ve been binging on Little House for the last month ,I have probably watched the episode when Dean Butlers character “ Manly” finally realizes he loves “ Beth” ,six or seven times now ,I can’t believe it’s been 50 years ,I,loved the series then and I still love it to this day,Dean Butler and Melissa Gilbert had incredible chemistry,I was just watching a video with Butler and Gilbert disgussing that “ first kiss “ she said she was “ terrified “ because she was only 16 and Butler was 23 at the time and Gilbert’s mother was on the set “ sobbing” according to Gilbert and Butler and they had to do three takes ,Little House is a timeless gem in my opinion.
Elderly have become to only social group that society allows itself to openly discriminate. It's sickening. When they realize that they DO drive the economy (and behave as such), they'll hopefully empower themselves.
Back in 1974, my 9 year old self, the typical boy, and my younger brother couldn’t get into Little House. But I remember my mom and older sister watched it religiously. I think we watched more shows on ABC than any other network. 😂😂. But as I got older into adulthood, I did watch the show and I could appreciate more than as well. Obviously, I am the same age as Melissa, I will be 60 in February 2024. I think it’s pretty cool that this show has these reunions almost every year for the fans to come to and revisit Little House. I think The Waltons is only other show that I’m aware of as that has these fan events. 😊😊
She is so right about wonan i used to a lot of focus groups then when i turned 50 they stopped they only want younger people and the thing is i make all the decision on what we buy for my family (older and proud )
Love Little House and still have my original books from childhood...just this past Christmas 2023 my oldest son gave me the boxed DVD set for Christmas! Little House series was my childhood and Melissa and I are the same age.
I watched Little House every day after school. Read all the books. I played outside like we lived in that time. I even made my own bonnet. This is so amazing. So glad I found this post.
My mom just got her Modern Prairie dress and she adores it! The secondhand joy just makes me smile so much. My whole family grew up watching Little House and I’m so glad my mom got a dress that brings her so much happiness.
🙏 OMG! Little House on the Prairie was the series we followed back in the 1970s when we're still in Primary School! Brought back so many fond memories of the 1970s & early 1980s ... 🌷🌿🌎💜🕊
I'm watching it now (again) and still amazed by the story and all the great actors on the show. It is so authentic and believable that you forget that it is not real life.
Melissas my sister age and me and my twin are 5 years younger. We watched little house growing up since the pilot. Watched with my mom and dad. It wasa special family night thing back then before video games and cell phones. Great memories.
She looks amazing. I remember growing up in Jamaica, I would do all chores on time Saturdays so I could watch Little House every Saturday night. I use to wish I was Laura.
Loved ‘Little House on the Prairie’ as a kid too. Such a great family show that taught values, morals, kindness, equality and respect. What show does that for kids now? It’s clearly needed more than ever. Thanks GMA! 🎉
Greetings from southern Ontario Canada I really enjoyed the video about the 50th anniversary of the little house on the prairie I remember that show all too well sometimes now that I'm 51 and a mental health front line health care worker I use that show for work back in that time period when pioneers were setting into their new adventure and getting established it was a great show
Your voice hasn't changed, it's very distinctive and I recognize it. I idolize. we're the same age. At that time I always faithfully waited in front of the TV for the film Little House on D'Paire. Greetings to your older sister Mary
Wow, Melissa looks fantastic for pushing 60! ❤Still cute! It was my mom's absolute favorite show! She told me her childhood was a lot like that show, she grew up on the farm! Grandpa only had a tractor for transportation so mom walked pretty much everywhere she went! She literally walked a mile to town and back to go to school! I miss her! R.I.P. MOM!✝️❤💙🐦
So needed for women in our age group. At 60 you become invisible, even with family. And we have so much we can bring to the table of life. Experience, skills, common sense, lots of love to share. Unfortunately people left us behind and we still have alot to give.
I am so happy❤ I watch all the reruns of Little House on the prairie and when they first came out they were great and they're even better. Melissa Gilbert is a good role model. The perfect wife and mother. She's like a cat she always lands on her feet January 28th 2024
Boy, she looks great. It's actually a relief because I get so much clickbait in my internet feed casting her as either dead or dying and it's good to see she is neither one nor the other. I'd forgotten that she and Timothy Busfield were married. I never watched Thirtysomething, but I watched him in the last couple of seasons of Trapper John M.D. as Trapper's son and fellow doctor J.T. And therein lies a Bonanza connection as he worked with Pernell Roberts and she worked with Michael Landon.
I will be 56 in november, im a life long fan of lhop and cast members. Especially Michael, victor, karen and melissa G. She looks great in this interview, and i think we should bring back the bonnett, and the lifestyle all together, some have, and are dirty and happy, i only wish i was. Congrats on your wonderful marriage with tim. May you live to be 110.

Me too. When I was little everyone told me I looked like Melissa Sue Anderson.

My son just gave me the whole boxed set on DVD for Christmas! 🥰
Years ago Little House was one of our favorite shows along with The Waltons, etc. Now we love watching reruns and enjoy their wholesomeness even more.
What a beautiful smile Melissa has!
Its amazing,, her voice still almost the same as a child!!! ❤️❤️❤️ Lovely melissa gilbert!

🥰🥰🥰 Aww I wish the interview could be longer. Love Melissa, and love GMA. Thank you!! 💕
Who doesn't love Melissa Gilbert?!?!!!❤

I love this idea. It’s true older people need more presence in the market

Her voice sounds the same as when she was 9. One of the best shows from the 70’s and 80’s

I NEVER have enjoyed a show more than Little House on the Prairie, it was truly pure and good..
Love this, women embracing just who they are at any age, not living up to the media's stereotype of what we're supposed to look like.
Good wholesome family entertainment. Back when Hollywood had standards and western society had traditional values. People want this back.
I've just watched the movie where she plays Hellen Keller, The Miracle Worker. Really enjoyed it.
Love Melissa Gilbert and love Little House On The Prairie literally grew up with both I was 9 years old and now 61 since November💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓
