I loved my time living in Winnipeg, I miss Winnipeg. Go Jets, Go!
I've visited Winnipeg twice. An interesting city and area with various scenery, buildings, landscapes (from barren flat prairies to Aspen forests), homes, subdivisions, sprawl. If I was to live in Canada, Winnipeg would be on the list. The Forks, Manitoba History Museum, Birds Hill Provincial Park, Assinaboine Park and Forest, Fort Whyte Alive are great. Oh also - the "pizza buns" sold at the Safeway grocery store bakery departments are soooo good. I could live on those :-)

I had an apartment next to the Fort Garry Hotel for five years, until I moved to the suburbs last year to start a family. Your video made me miss the hustle and bustle of downtown living.

sinaloa saurez yes it is, Room 202 I believe was a murder or a woman killed herself! And floor 5 hall is haunted by a ghost following people from behind I believe. That place is old though. But still it’s a legend of Winnipeg!
Shelton Lee exactly, not sure about the haunted room though, years back, people that stayed in that room would see a figure standing at the end of the bed while they tried to sleep, that’s scary as hell, even looking at the building, it’s eerie, and yes the hotel is still taking reservations daily, but as for me I’ll never stay in that place, because just how it looks, the architecture is just creepy!

Man, I find that hating Winnipeg can be a bit of cliche amongst us who live here. But when you show the city like this. In the summer, with the parks and the people out and about. Doesn’t seem so bad. Nice stuff

Here’s a funny thing. First off, I live in Winnipeg. Second, this is a funny story. My Grandma went to the revolving restaurant and left her purse on the window and it was rotating around when she was about to pay.

I live near winnipeg (approx 21 minutes away) and I live in the countryside, but I go to Winnipeg every winnipeg with my family for shopping, and I can't wait until True North Square is finished!!

Next time you come visit the west end. That’s where I live, kinda rough but full of beautiful buildings and restaurants. You should go to the cafe bistro on ellice. They have a really great native foods menu. Bison burgers, bison chilli, bannock with everything.

I was born here and I have to say. Love your editing. City is honestly a great place. A lot of crime/violence in the part of town that you were in but out in calmer areas such as Sage Creek and St. vital, it's very warming. Thanks for coming and enjoying the city :))

I lived in downtown Winnipeg for 8 years nothing bad ever happened to me. I don't live a high risk lifestyle though. I moved into the suburbs a year ago, the first month my shed got broken into and had a bike stolen and a month after that my car got broken into twice. What's nice about downtown is there's always something going on (festivals, farmers markets, concerts) that even if you're alone you don't feel lonely.

Just so your aware, I do lots of traveling and every city on the planet has bad areas and homlessness. Los Angeles has a ten block radius of homeless people and so does Hawaii. Did you seriously think Winnipeg is the only city with homeless people? You must be very close minded.
