I'm from Winnipeg and this has to be one of the best travel Vlogs of our city I've seen in a very very long time well

Thank you so much! I saw a lot of negative videos as well. I wanted to make sure I showcase positive stuff as no city is perfect.

Thank you for showing our City in a positive light. Living here we forget just how much there is to do and see and tend to focus on what is wrong. BTW, The Feast is one of my favourite restaurants; the pickerel slider is my fave.

Oh the food was so good at the Feast! Next time I’ll try the pickerel slider 😜👌🏾

@@RudderlessMedia Not to do with The Feast but to do with another part of your trip :-) Just now my husband (BTW Max in my name is for Maxine) just sent me a "reel" about the pancakes at Juneberry and commented on how we have to check them out. I didn't check his message right away but he came upstairs from his man cave to ask me if I saw his message about these pancakes in St. V that are suppose to be awesome. I looked at the reel, and then laughed and said I just heard about the place from a TH-cam video. And, now we have to go, because it's like the universe is telling us to go :-)

@maxorchard7823 That's too funny. The pancakes are calling to you! They were definitely delicious. Juneberry & Clementine are my two absolute favourite spots for sure.

I lived in Winnipeg for a number of years - I remember visiting Fort Whyte quite a lot, and still learned lots of cool stuff on your vid! Really well done.

If you come to Winnipeg, check out a Jets game in the winter months or a Bombers game in the summer, you will enjoy either.

Your channel is by far the most underrated channel on TH-cam. You make excellent videos, quality editing and amazing stories. If more people find you videos they would be very happy they do. I am always looking forward to your new videos. I hope you make videos on Regina, Saskatoon, and Calgary...keep up the good work.

Hey AJ, thank you some much for your kind words! It really means a lot and I truly appreciate it.
This year I will be focusing more on the channel and there just might be a trip to Saskatchewan this July! 😉
I also launched a video/audio podcast over @road_trip_ready and I’m working on a video podcast for this channel called Highway Highlights.
So I’ll keep the videos coming but in the meantime, I value your support!
      Have a great evening!

Ack, you were right across from The West End Cultural Centre and didn't film it! It's an iconic not for profit music and event venue, a church converted by Mitch Pololuk, who also founded the Winnipeg Folk Fest, that also does programming that supports the West End. Thanks for visiting our fine city. It is One Great City, after all.

All good cultural choices. These are all my local choices too. I don’t bother with the sports teams. So much more here than that.

Manitoba is a beautiful, often overlooked province. The provincial parks here are amazing, Riding Mountain NP too, but sadly Winnipeg is becoming more unsafe and dirty, especially downtown. There are homeless encampments everywhere, especially along the river bank. Just walk from The Forks to Osbourne bridge to see that. Many of the bus shelters don't even have glass in them and they have been like that for a long while now. That is no fun when there is a -40 windchill. The city is reluctant to fix them as it encourages homeless people to move in them, I guess they don't want that. The things I witness here on a daily basis, and you will too if you have to go anywhere near downtown or north Main on a daily basis, honestly upset me. Drug addiction is a huge problem but it is not just Winnipeg , this is seen all over the country. There is also a lot to love about living here and this video touches on that, particularly with it's photography. A lot of the city is very lovely and no doubt, this city is unique. I have been here 13 years and have now decided to move back to the UK. As much as I love Canada, it's just not worth the sacrifices we make from being away from my family and home country, not anymore.. Once you have visited the places in this video, there really isn't much to do here..

Yeah, I hear you. People are leaving Toronto too! I hope governments are paying attention and start providing more support.

Lived here for over 40 years and still wonder why. I can’t say that I’m as enthusiastic about it as you are. I wonder if you have checked out the wildlife on downtown Portage Avenue. Just working downtown you need to have eyes in the back of your head. Did you also check out the homeless living in the bus shacks (hence why most bus shacks have no walls). Don’t forget the awards for murder or violent crimes capital of Canada.

I mean if that’s all you focus on, that’s all you’re going to focus on. Get out there and explore your city! Research the history and go to museums and look at architecture and sample the arts

@@Moonbaby63 Thanks for your comment. I appreciate it. When I travel I try to find the good things about a destination without comparing it to where I’m from. I’m from Toronto and we have the same issues in parts of my city as well and I agree at times it’s hard not to notice. As a travel creator i try to find the beauty, whether in my city or not. 😊

or the homeless encampments along the rivers here. I have been here 13 years and I'm heading back home to the UK soon. The city is slowly deteriorating for sure but this video does show a lot of positives things to like about the city..
