Thanks for your great testing and aiming for a bullseye! If you hunt, should you not hit the target? So many videos, shooters, have no clue. Retired, I need pellets with the best performance at lowest cost. Your video helped to confirm my choices, so thank you. I now use RWS Superdomes 177 8.3 gr and Crosman hollow point 7.9 for hunting or plinking. Great prices, but at 1,000 plus fps, the RWS will get .31" group at 33 yards, while Crosman best is 1.3" group. But at 20 yards, the Crosman can do 3/4" group at 1024 fps. Very good for pesting at that range, 18.3 fpe. Big expansion, big damage to pests, low pass through. RWS is better for farther targets. Better than JSB, no fliers in my Beeman 10616. Know your gun, get good ammo, hit your target. Much fun!
Good stuff , got some of them hunters .. didn't have great results when I tried them some years back .. but I only tried em in one or two .. got a few more to throw em through now , so ill take em to the range tomorrow
I do all my hunter pellet testing at 35 yards minimum and up to 45 yards as i find this is a more realistic distance which i can achieve when pest controlling ie rabbits and crows with the exception of rats and 90% of the time I'll use barracuda hunter extreme which are super accurate and still pack a big punch
Very good video. I did the same test about 4 weeks ago, but put the Hunter against the Hunter Extreme (9.57 grain) through my R10se at 25 yards. The Hunter's gave me grouping of 14cm, but the Hunter Extreme gave me an 11cm grouping. The test was done 4 times and the Hunter Extreme won all 4 times. Food for thought?
Nice vid! I'm considering upsetting the wife and picking one of these up.... and was just wondering.... is there any way to fit a sling to it without drilling etc?
TBH I'd expect a hunting pellet to be accurate, I know it's not always the case. Be interesting to see how they compare back to back with the BSA black stars. Like the silver stars / Terminators, very similar pellet On a complete random other question what camera do you use for the range shots, could do with a camcorder with some zoom as a spotting scope at time
I use the Panasonic HC-V260. It cost around £200 from Argos quite a few years ago now. It has a 90x Optical zoom. I also have a Cannon Camcorder with about a 30x optical zoom, but for long range the Panasonic is better.I am now using my Samsung A54 phone for use at the bench, as I am now using a wireless lapel microphone with it.

At what range are you doing your clay impact test are they at the same distance you would normally shoot your pest at.
