I've always found Porter's songs to lack in bass. Lionhearted is probably the most similar in style to this song by Porter, but this song blends with all of Madeon's songs (nearly). The drums and bass are identical in sound to Madeon's songs. As a few examples; You're On, Shuriken and Pay No Mind (Actually just about all of his songs). Pretty sure it's his voice, and when its' not his voice its pretty similar vocal mixing to You're On and Cut The Kid as a couple of examples. I don't doubt that Porter had something to do with the song, but it always annoys me when people either forget Madeon worked on this song, or believe that Porter did more.

Porter Robinson & Madeon never fail to deliver quality songs. I don't know what it is about Shelter that makes it so wonderful and joyous, perhaps it's the addicting "what the fo" lyric that always gets me, or it's the relaxed sound combined with the lyrical slicing that makes a great balance. Who knows?
