Hi Deea. Enjoying your video with lunch! Looks like you have a lot of irons on the fire! The bug book looks good! Also the one with all of the paths and walks. : ) I'll also be reading something for nonfiction November but not sure what, yet.
It doesn't feel like lots, so I guess that is good 😅 I picked up the Thesaurus and Walks books last night and dipped into them a bit. They're going to be great, I think. I can't wait to see what you decide!
@@This.mama.loves.reading I have several of Baxter’s books and I have enjoyed them, so I am expectant! thanks for watching and commenting! Happy Reading!
Oooh your non fiction November selection sounds super interesting! It's always so fun to hear how people interpret the prompts differently and that cookbook looks fab 😊
@@redheadreading I agree! I went heavy on words/list/collections (two I have requested are similar 🤭) ! The walks and the cookbook are going to be my night time reads. Easy to pick up and put down/ read in snippets♥️ I’m so excited ❣️❣️❣️
@@sterlingreads547 I’m hearing lots of good things about P&M! 🤞🏻 I can’t believe there are only 2.25 months left of 2024! I’m okay with putting it behind me, it’s been a rough one.
Oh wow, I have to stop watching booktube - so many great reads that are being added to my TBR, well, except for cookbooks :) _Mr. Wilson's Cabinet of Wonder_ sounds like an amazing read. I will definitely be participating in nonfiction November - seems like that's pretty much all I read these days :p Thanks so much for sharing :)
Hi Deea! Enjoying your video with a cardamom chai latte! I really want to read The Hidden Life of Trees. I am wondering if I should do an illustrated non-fiction chat next...would that qualify as a non-fiction November participation? There are some true beauties out there!
I've never done Nonfiction November, but I have a few nonfiction books I need to read so looking forward to participating next month! The two books on the OED and thesaurus sound really interesting! Looking forward to hearing what you think of them.
The storyline of The Professor and the Madman was really great! I never read the book, but a classmate gave a presentation on it, and I watched the movie.
I didn't know there was a movie. Is it called the same thing? I picked it up at a Little Free Library several months ago and have been hanging onto it just for NFN!
Nonfiction November I like that theme. I typically only read non-fiction just where I'm at right now with life and kids. I have to laugh when you read that bug book and what it was nominated for and have no idea that that is lol I see awards on books and just like have no idea about any of them haha But that path book sounds amazing - really neat!
@@novelideea That is absolutely amazing! wow! :) I will enjoy your fiction reviews vicariously through you for now till the day comes I have more free time lol ;)
Great books! I've heard great things about The Professor and the Madman. Given the subject and what you said you liked, I think it might be a great book for you.
i remember enjoying the madman and the professor...and i am never sure if i've read mr. wilson's cabinet and i was thinking of it today as i saw that weschler had blurbed an amazing book of essays i just finished reading..."things that are" by amy leach..i think you'd love it..i do read more non-fiction than fiction and i'm pretty set for some time to come but i'll want to re-read this in the future so maybe a buddy read next year (God willing and the creek don't rise) if it comes into your hands??
I do plan to read more nonfiction next month. I won a book through Goodreads so I need to read and review it on their site. Plus I own a couple other nf I want to work through that I've been holding onto for awhile.
In Cold Blood by Truman Capote and Ask Not: The Kennedys and the Women they Destroyed by Maureen Callahan (won this one) and may work through Cat Stories (the book you sent me 🥰). I have a couple others I may mood read from but I'm still reading some fiction that I'll be starting this week.
@@Thecatladybooknook_PennyD OH! Yay! I hope you love the cat stories. The kitty antics feel like the makings of a cozy nonfiction 🤗 I really like Capote's In Cold Blood. Not the subject so much as how he told the story. It's disturbing.
@@novelideea I have one sitting on my shelves that I started, but haven’t picked up in a while. The Lord’s Supper by Jonathan Black! Oh, and I’m also planning to read Adorning The Dark by Andrew Peterson and All Creatures Great and Small by James Herriot! I’ve got more than I realized! 🤭
Also thought about picking up Second Class by Batya Ungar-Sargon. Thought that might be “fun” for election month. 😂 Wow…more books than I know what to do with!!
Hi, thanks for an very interesting list. My Nonfiction Nov books are; (Not sure I will finish them all,) The letters of Vincent Van Gogh, The actor Brian Cox's autobiography, The Secrets of the Code, (its about the Da Vinci Code, looks really fascinating,) The Ship of Dreams by Gareth Russell, (I listened to his three part podcast about it and I am very interested,) Overture of Hope, about two women who saved Opera's Jews from the Nazis, Aspects of the Novel by EM Forster, (love is books, these are lectures he gave about writing.) And that is it. A pretty diverse group I think.
