Vintage Collins R-388 Ham shortwave receiver K1 Standby mute module installation Replace relay K101

Replacement of the Collins R-388 receiver K101 Standby relay. This relay is known for failure. It switches the IF strip screen voltage and antenna. The old system required an external 12vdc to activate. The original type K101 is difficult to locate, so time to upgrade. D-lab's K1S draws its voltage from the receivers 6.3vac filament supply.
