Yes! I’m so excited to see it on this list! I’m pleased to see that there are so many books from around the world and am really looking forward to being introduced to some new authors.
I like Night Bloom. The last section really pulls together the first two. It’s the only book on the long list I have read, but I have a copy of The Wren, The Wren that I hope to get to this month. I want to read Soldier Sailor and Enter Ghost. Not sure about the others.
Soldier Sailor isn’t out until June over here, but I found a used ARC so I could read it for the awards. If you want it once I’m done, I’d be happy to ship it over to you.
Awesome! I look forward to hearing your thoughts. I mentioned it in the video, but I was able to get 11 of the books via the library. I was able to find secondhand copies to order of the remaining five. Soldier, Sailor was the most difficult to find as it’s not due to be published here until June.
I love that there are so many lesser-known, small press, and debut novels on this list. The ones that intrigue me most are In Defense of the Act, 8 Lives of a Century-Old Trickster, and Enter Ghost.
I already had borrowed The Wren The Wren, And Then She Fell, and Western Lane before the titles were released, so those ones are for certain. I want to read Nightbloom and 8 Lives of a Century-Old Trickster too. We’ll see if I can get to more titles.
I'm trying to read the longlist and it's the first time I've participated like this. I'm really pumped but it will be a pretty big achievement if I get through them all. I look forward to hearing your thoughts as you get them read. I just finished Enter Ghost and... Wow, what an education for me. I hope you enjoy it.
Awesome! I hope you enjoy the experience. It’s the first time I’ve tried to read a whole long list as well. I’m looking forward to it! All of the books sound so interesting.
Nightbloom was so good. Highly recommend. I'll be reaching for the other authors of color on this list first. ♥

I am not familiar with any of these books, but I would like to read some of them.
Yeah, if you aren’t following literary awards regularly, it’s easy to miss a lot of these books.
I've not paid attention to lists like this before, but there's quite a few books on this list that interest me!
I never really did until I joined booktube, but I’ve found a lot of good books that I would’ve never found otherwise through prize lists.
@@BandysBooks A good way to find books it seems. I've never heard of any of these, so new ones for me to look at and discover!
I plan on reading them too. I hope your library has more of them than mine.

Thank you! 💜

I agree! It’s wonderful seeing small publishing houses get recognition! Trickster in particular sounds really good.
I'm interested in Night Bloom, In Defense of the Act, and Solider Sailor! Great video, thanks for these overviews!
Yes! All three of those sound good to me! I thoroughly expect to enjoy Nightbloom.
Lots of unexpected but interesting titles on this list. I’ll be reading at least a handful of them.
Indeed! I think a lot of people were surprised by some of the picks. I hope you enjoy the ones you read! Any ideas on which you’ll pick?

So curious about The Blue, Beautiful World. Love this video! Looking forward to your predictions!
Yes! That one sounds very interesting to me too! I love sci-fi and am curious to see how it’s blended with a more literary quality. Thank you!
I think there's quite a few books hitting where our tastes cross over.
This was a quality video!
Yes! It’s such a good list. And thank you! I definitely am not that well-versed in the awards, so I’m mostly going to read and review.
