You have to wear your shoes too so that you get the right length.. That's what I use to do.

Can we drape a saree like a Dhara? Please suggest. Or is it that for Dhara we have to purchase separate Dhara cloth from Shillong?

No i don think so because saree and dhara are different the cloth saree is easy to put on because the cloth is lighter than dhara the cloth are different
