It's my opinion that the early 2000's were the best trance.. I was in the clubs in N.Y.C. and these are some of my best memories. We'd be rolling our faces off dancing from like 11pm till 6am .. Coming outta there looking like zombies 🤣..

Why is it that now we're doing the same thing our parents once did.. I have a great ear fomr good music and no matter how new, or old it is, I am very honest and I'll say the truth. But why does it seems like perhaps most newer stuff just doesn't fit into our ears lolol
@@ascension4444 mainstream music has become increasingly less music/art and more production and money. Less culture and vibe more business. Everything always gets watered down eventually. Agreed the late 90s- 00s was peak and I wasn't even old enough to party legally for most of it
Memories from playing laser tag every Friday night in middle school, dreaming of going to raves once I was old enough to drive.
By the time I was 16, EDM had changed. Dubstep was cool but it still felt like I missed out on a golden age in the 90s and a silver age in the 2000s.
I love techno, but trance is other world man.

I was the same age and stationed in mainland Japan and got to see Tokyo and Fukuoka….a lot of euro girls there and got me turned onto the dance and trance trend. So many good memories

There was a techno album that came out in the early 2000’s that was a double disc with a guy on the cover and it was like soft techno forgot the name of the artist any thoughts.

Not sure I really think a lot of this is trance, although some do get by due to being trance 'mixes' (at least kind of, for some). Or maybe I am wrong I need stronger beets and nothing that sounds like it is trying to sound like a 'normal' instrument (and less singing - I prefer the singing to be for the anthem or the break and nowhere else unless it has been messed with is more of a sound for beat, if you get me). Overall, this is very house-ish.
