Sir, the blue train has ICF coaches which can not go beyond 110kmph. The Sampark Kranti has LHB coaches which run at 130kmp. Hence the overtaking. The locomotive type is not of much consequence in this case.

Both the Trains are having Electrical Engine power with WAP7. But Superfast train have schedule time to reach destination at higher speed (Approx 110 Km/hr) than Express Train (80 Km/hr).
