I love when you go on a search for a historical location like you did with Fort Upper Tract. Those were some of my favorite videos you have ever done. Finding all the melter lead proving that what had been there had burned and thinking about the folks were killed fighting for their lives inside.
Another good video despite no good finds. I just got a new permission that has a 1780s log cabin still standing not far from the massacre site of 10 of Captain William Phillip's Rangers in July of 1780. Wish me luck!
Chig, one reason that this is a good video is your honesty. You are a serious hunter with a good humor. For those reasons, I look forward to your videos. In a TH-cam survey, I chose your channel as one of the top three channels I watch.
This was a fun little adventure. It certainly wasn't the most relicful, but I do believe we put the local rumor to rest... for now. Follow Chigg’s Army! My Patreon: www.patreon.com/aquachigger Facebook: facebook.com/chiggsarmy/ Twitter: twitter.com/BeauOuimette Thanks for watching…. The Chigg
Chigg in all his glory...digging history trying to figure out the mystery of what all was there before now! Thanks for posting another day in the life of the Chigg! Mike in central Florida
Yall had company out there around the 12:00 ish mark, pretty whitetail deer behind you! Never apologize for not finding stuff, you take us on the adventure and that is just Awesome, Possum.
That was cool 😎 👌 it would be nice to go back to the river and look around 😀 😉 so enjoy your videos 📹 😀 please keep them coming 🙏 😀 and here to help get your videos 📹 😉 out to everyone to enjoy 😉 😀 👍
It's great that you take the time to check-out reported "Potential" places suggested by others......subscribers or whoever. Where most of your leads come from? It's good to have friends. 👍
The old mystery fort legend. They rarely built forts in non-strategic locations. They'll be on trade routes to control river junctions, or passes to control land trade and always in a defensible place. Unless it was a hastily built defensive effort.
Someone needs to make something like geocaching but for metal detecting and an have a team from each state to stash things in the ground and a website providing general locations and some clues that would be cool people would have some fun with that specially beginners just getting into metal detecting so they can learn the basics and then get out there and find some real treasure
Did you see the article writes your Dave Kindy about a “live Parrott shell” found in Georgia at the Kennesaw Battlefield Park recently? They called the bomb squad! The should have simply called Aquachigger!!
That snap you found looks identical to the snaps that rothco uses on their gi ammo pouches! might be relatively modern, at least going back to the vietnam war era i think
Nice video. Too bad you didn't find what you were looking for. In the grave yard, what was the oldest date on a headstone? That might help establish a time frame.
It too bad a lot of old mills didn’t survive. The wobbly kitten and I think eventually a high water storm events wash them away. Take us back this summer and show us what’s downstream. We also think there might be a fort and 1700’s homestead somewhere, but the story got discombobulated across time. Anyway, thanks guys for a nice day on a beautiful landscape.
Well it's an area they would have built a fort in this days. River on one side wooded area. Plus when the fort closed someone reused it. Which happened a lot. No guarantees but it's promising
Je n'ai jamais entendu parlé qu'il y eut un fort français dans cette région des États-Unis d'Amérique. Un avant poste, ou poste de traite peut-être, mais pas un fort.

That cemetery was pre civil war! Wow, tht tree taking over the stone was the strangest thing I've ever seen! Was kinda awesome!

Are you sure it wasn't a privvy? Seems like a far walk to a well when the creek was right next to the house and/or mill.
I want to metal detect with you
Te
As always enjoyed watching thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for the adventure Chigg. Well that area wasn't so awesome, but we possums hunt yet another day. Better luck ahead. 🤞 take care
I love the blue green water in that river. Looks like a good spot for river treasure. 😁
The cemetery tree engulfing the head stone brings a whole new meaning to family tree.
Brother I find the jar lids and brass rings from horse tact in my yard. This place was a plantation back in the day. A lot of those here in Louisiana
Regardless of exact time frame, seemed like a nice adventure. I love finding stuff like that out in the woods.
You make killer videos, good job
Beautiful river. Ya gotta go back there when it warms up and jump in Chigg.
A great day to be out exploring. It’s not always about the finds, it’s the adventure of exploring new areas.
Love the structure remains and the beautiful river! Hope to see you detecting in the River come summer. Awesome place. Thx
Good afternoon from Southeast South Dakota.
I could live right next to that river clear water and a wonderful rippling sound. Nothing more beautiful

Thank you for taking us along on another adventure 👍
Dude , I'm so gad to see you today , hey you got out .
Thanks Chigg
Great finds pleasure to watch
Doesn't matter to me that you didn't find any treasures it was a nice day to be in the woods with the Chigg
😊 you make me chuckle!! Thank you
The headstone encompassed by the tree was surprising! Never seen that before.
Like the shades Chigg. You seem happier since returning from your trip out west. Remember hold your breath.
Beautiful river look forward to your return when it gets warmer.
Great stuff chigg
I would love to be flyfishing there. Sorry, for the late comment, but I love your channel!
The concrete in the "dam" structure could be a (much) later addition to try and shore it up or preserve it.
Yall had company out there around the 12:00 ish mark, pretty whitetail deer behind you! Never apologize for not finding stuff, you take us on the adventure and that is just Awesome, Possum.
Another interesting pursuit. Even if you don't find much, well - it's like fishing, no guarantees.
Still an adventure, thanks!

Hello Mr. Chigg, sorry you got skunked. But that river is just so beautiful, I can’t wait until you come and hunt it in the summer.
Can't get enough the mystery and the deductions from what you see. Enjoyed the Dr. Evil reference. Heh. Heh.
Thanks
Lovely property. Thanks.

Thanx Chigg for another great AQUACHIGGER ADVENTURE. If there's no evidence of early dates then it definitely wasn't a fort.
See ya on the next 😉
If they don't find anything from 1740s or before, it's DEFINITELY NOT, huh? You know what they say about proving a negative...
Ahhh in my neck of the woods chigg 👍🏻 awesome possum
Ahsome Opossum !!!; )
Always wondered what those triangle shaped sickle mower things were...thx for the education. I find them quite often up in the northeast
Well it was a nice place to spend the day Chigg
It's all about the hunt and getting out for the afternoon! Beautiful spot, even if there wasn't anything significant found.
Will chigger I hope we find some good stuff 👍
Lots of people like me dig the land but very few people like you hunt the water! I bet there's lots of treasure in that stream! Come back this summer!
I was listening to what u were laying down … I’m south in Pendleton Co … Fort Seibertish
Not much for finds but a good bit of adventure none the less. Happy hunting and be well
Love To See That Clen Of Water. That's A Cool Spot To.
Hey Chigg how’s it going buddy I pray great Amen 🙏
This is a great adventure! I use the exclamation mark to show that I mean it.
Hey hey Mr Chigg!!
Hey hey Mr. Dogmo!!
That was a good-looking river
Aqua you gotta come to ancaster ontario and explore the old book house and go threw sulpher springs and mineral springs it's pretty much untouched
Chiggs 🤘👌🍺👍🏽
Awesome
if you ever come around saint albans i would like to meet you big fan for a long time
That piece of metal stripping looks like it was for old fomica counters wallboard and such
Where is your fishing pole Chigg

Will there ever be another caving video? I get it if you don't want to do dig outs anymore. But that's why I'm here man.
Yeah, made one yesterday. Not sure when I will publish it though.
@@aquachigger That's great news! 😀😀😀
I was wondering what kind of pouch the other gentleman had on? Like is it metal detecting specific? Or homemade
Dates on the headstones?
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
good video
Great video Chigg....slight dissapointment, yet still better to be out and about proving and dis-proving theories.
Nice video. Too bad you didn't find what you were looking for.
In the grave yard, what was the oldest date on a headstone? That might help establish a time frame.
I couldn't;'t read the old ones. The stone was too dissolved.
@@aquachigger okay. It was just a thought anyway
Thanks for replying.
I would bet this could be your busy time of the year before the Salmon Berry Poison Oak and Elderberry start to leaf out.
This reminds me, did you end up confirming the fort from the F+I War on the farm that you were investigating???
How close are you to the Potomac River?
That dam water is beautiful
Metal trim from a squeegee?

Just started metal detecting, any tips?
@14:55 Look's like a car wing window frame
That river MUST have trout or rock bass in it!
Some date's off those headstones should be a good way of dating that area to some extent.
i live in saint albans wv you ever check out scarry creek
The Cacapon ...WV.
❤️
Are you in Hardy County?
Well it was still interesting
Oh my nenith Chigg, beware of the ferocious samsqanches dude

'Evening.
@@aquachigger Hope you're having as nice of weather as we are. Spring is right around the corner... no more frozen ground!
I tune in to be disappointed and sing the theme at the end so don’t sweat it bud

1754 to 1763
Je n'ai jamais entendu parlé qu'il y eut un fort français dans cette région des États-Unis d'Amérique. Un avant poste, ou poste de traite peut-être, mais pas un fort.
Getting out and hunting is what is all about. Next time
French & Indian war started 9 july 1755 lasted 7 years . another name for it 7 years war
What's a key way? And don't say less than an ounce.
: )
Wouldn't any relics from the 1740's be deeper than the more modern things you found?
THE GRAVES SHOULD BE IN THE STATE REGISTER FIND A NAME AND HOW LONG THEY HAVE BEEN THERE COULD BE A STARTING POINT 👉 TOO ANY PROBLEM.
The Frog and Native American war was 1754 to 1763.......
I might have looked at the site using google maps first...
This sounds familiar..... in a not good way.....
