Yeh your right there 😂 novelty soon wears off. I’d love to out winter them but we lie so wet in the winter it’s tough to work out how well manage to do it.
@@baldysfarm we winterd some cows on our hill one year, 35 cows bale of hay a day and some cake on the ground, cake was about £230 a ton then, plenty of feg on the hill and of coarse big saving on straw, bonus was it did the hill a lot of good, could you direct drill turnips or kale to winter cattle outside, then back into spring crops and repairing the damaged ground
Hi James, from my experience no one gets on very well with AIing heifers as they do with cows, I shouldn't worry to much! They're in calf that is the main thing.
Funny how it makes us happy to get cows in in the autumn and twice as happy to get them out in the spring, happy Easter
