Thanks. Yes lots of fun. Still waiting for the day I run into you. We seem to visit the same areas. Would be fun to hike together. Have a great week. 👍🙂🙏
Well, I learned something today, never really heard of a bear trap, and certainly didn't realize it was an actual trap. I found the discussion about the large rock possibly being a door very interesting as well. Great group of explorers, nice post Dave!
The first time I went looking, I was expecting a chained to a rock big metal trap. Never gave a thought to a rock cave. Cliff always manages to find things for me. So glad he gave me a shout when he set out to find this. Fun time. Thanks for coming along. Take care my friend. 👍🙂🙏🌲🐻
We love those dual vistas. When we camp on west licking creek, we always head up to see the sunrise, then head back to see the sunset at the other. I have been going to hike back to the bear trap, but always forget. We did have a bear come up to us at Short Mtn Vista. And when canoed at site 9 we had a momma bear and triplets cross in front of us. Definitely aome 🐻 in the Tuscarora
I would not have gone in that bear trap! Because of the snakes! The only song I can think of is ""Doing the Bearcat"" by David Wilcox. I guess you check this journey of your bucket list. Beautiful vista views for sure.
Always enjoy waking up and drinking some coffee to a DHD adventure, nothing like hiking through overgrown trails in the summer here in PA. Very interesting learning about the bear trap and that vista at the beginning was something!
Hope your coffee was good. Thanks for making me your morning watch! Still thinking of are last adventure together. What a great time on Billigan's Island. Can't wait to share that 9:37 9:37 one. God bless. 👍🙂🙏🌲🌲🌲🐻🌦🌧⛈️🦉🦉🦉
"Everybody Say Bear Trap!" 🤣 It had to be really satisfying to find something that you couldn't find before. Thanks to the Wandering Woodsman for his help. 🙂 I always love the big foot sightings and the little legos figurines - such a cool idea. It was fun watching you all take your turn in the bear trap. The bugs really did look overwhelming. 🪰🕸🪳🦗🐜🪲🦟 It's been a little while since I've seen a walking stick (a live one). There were ferns forever! 😁🪴 The views really were beautiful. Couldn't come up with any other bear songs. 🌲🌳🪴🌱🌷🌺🌿🍃🪳🦟
Fun day. Stacy always brings the fun figures. Cliff always finds what we are looking for. And I. We'll, I have fun. Good times were had. Glad you joined us. Be careful on that one wheel😊
@@joelwatts9042 I did notice a small hole in the big rock door. Wonder if they shot or stabbed through that hole. Poor bear. Bet that would be one angry 🐻. Have a great week. 👍🙂🙏
Hello Dave, that was a cool hike, but that poor trail needs some love. it's really overgrown. so tell me, was that a real trap for bears? Sadly the only bear traps I've seen were the sawtooth kind, those are brutal. Dwayne
@@dwaynestewart6095 Yes, 1800's bear trap. Looked like it would work well. And yes trail was a little overgrown. Fun hike though. Thanks for coming along. 👍🙂🙏🐻🐻🐻

Cool🐻🐻🐻. Someday you will have to check out the Bear Trap. Great area! Keep on adventuring 👍
Just thought of another bear song...SMOKEY THE BEAR. I think there's a song about him.🤔
Yes, I believe there is a smokey the Bear song.👍
Looks like a fun group to go hiking with and you all found the bear trap. Neat to see those carvings on the rock too.

That's what I worried about while in there. Looked like a giant snake den😮. 👍🙂🙏

Thumbs up for Cliff. I have to wonder, what do they do if they trap a bear? Just curious.
