I purchased one of these lights purely by chance, I was looking for a replacement flashlight and I got my Coleman on sale. I was completely shocked with the quality. I actually purchased 3 more.
I didn’t need a light that you can see from space and I didn’t want a light I was afraid to damage or lose. It fits my uses a perfect 10. Great review video.
Nice review, towards the end you mention what's the appeal, since performance/weight doesn't measure up. I guess the appeal is that you can leave it for an year and not worry that the batteries died or corroded. I have the older battery lock (twist) design and it's been worry free for years and years, used infrequently and still on first set of batteries. If the tactical lights you describe in the video (higher performing) can do that, i.e. no parasitic battery drain in storage, then they might be more appealing due to performance.
Good thanx bro
I wish you had commented a bit more on the low intensity setting as I am considering this flashlight for power failure use as well. Thanks!
Perhaps I should have. Dad has stolen mine! Haha
I just received mine from Amazon. I felt it was well worth it until I turned it off. It had been off for a while but the batteries got hot. I took the battery pack out to cool off. When it was cool, I re-installed the battery pack but didn't turn it on. After 10 minutes, the battery pack began to heat up again. I have a Streamlight and the battery has never heated up unless it was charging.
beautiful
What do they mean when their talking about UE?
Beam profile isn't actually that bad. But the footage it hard to watch, lots of movement and other light sources etc
Just bought this flashlight but is 500 lumen at Ross for $8!
How do you change the led bulb
You would not change the LED or driver or housing. If you want to MOD it, then I'm not sure. You'd have to be pretty handy. This is not a P60-style drop-in unit, so it's not made to be changed.
the only thing that worries me is the cheap looking switch causing issues or failing.
Yes, but at this price point, it isn't a huge deal. And these switches tend not to cause as much trouble.
You can't take the thing apart to fix a faulty switch. NOT a happy camper.
Shittiest Flashlight I ever had
Welded together with aluminum joints corroded - Get Stainless guys
Thanks for the input.
