  • Many celebrities including surfer Mick Fanning and actor Eric Bana took part in this year’s “Big Freeze” fundraiser at the MCG, raising a whopping $2.3 million for Motor Neurone Disease research.

    Does anyone actually follow up where the money ends up … I have worked at NFP were the marketing manager and others get 6 figure salaries … this particular marketing manager worked for Heart Research Institute on $300k salary!

      Not sure about general salaries in charities, but I read that in order to get the right talent, skilled managers, they need large salaries to compete. But I know people making a heck of a lot less who could probably head a charity agency. Not saying the work is easier, I just think good people are out there who'd do a good job.
