Honestly I'm new to the water painting world I've looked all over TH-cam for tips and tricks and when I came across your videos I can honestly say your the best to learn from easy to understand and you not only talk about what to do but you show so many different ways thank you I'm gonna continue to watch and learn from you
I like this too. I actually have some cheap dollar store brushes I usually use only for applying masking fluid. Then I discovered the harder synthetic bristles were perfect for fur and even some grasses.
Hi there. One of my New Years resolutions is to branch away from doing detailed landscapes and flowers to wild animals like giraffes, tigers and zebras in watercolour. Thank you so much for the tips on how to do fur! Keep up your lovely painting and Happy New Year. 😊
This helped me a lot. Thanks so much for your tutorials. I’d like to say I’m self taught, but I’ve learned so much to help me along the way. I’m actually seeing a great improvement in my artwork. ❤️🌷🌺🐶🦊🦁🐵🐯🐰
I draw animals with colored pencils, I haven't used watercolor for a long time and I'm a novice and I would like to go back to it. I love to draw animals. Thank you very much for teaching.
I keep coming back to your fur videos for a refresher. I just got done painting a German Shepard that looked like a wolf until the last day. I decided I needed a refresher on painting fur.
Emily is among one of my most favourite artists. So talented, so humble and so generous. Thank you for showing fur-painting techniques, Emily. Once sanity is restored, I hope you will hold workshops and I can travel to CO to learn in person. YOU ARE THE BEST!
Thank you so much I must say your tutorials are the best this was so helpful . You are the bestest mentor 🌼🌼 I love your videos thanks alot . I watched so many watercolour tutorial videos of other artist ,none of them included these tips and tricks , you explained it so well I m really happy I found you ✨✨your videos really really helped me ma'am ❣️
Great video. I manually spread the bristles on my brushes in order to spread them-it's much easier on the brush. I also bought a Scrambler brush that is made for that sort of thing.
Thanks this was very helpful; I’m painting a very large wolf, head and shoulders picture, and I’ve never done something furry with watercolor before, it’s always been horses and their hair is really flat. Very clear, straightforward instructions.
I totally agree with Michelle Harris, this is the clearest of instructions that Ive come across as well. Hi Emi ly, I just recently started painting in watercolor about 8 months ago, so you know when pandemic hit...I got ALOT of practice as well as purchasing a whole lot of art supplies, Im obsessed with watercolor, Ive always loved art and loved to draw and paint I used acrylics since I can remember, I just recently discovered your videos and really liked your artwork and technique so I joined "fearless artist" which seems to be really awesome, I haven't had the chance to spend a lot of time on it though because I have many things going on at one time and I am constantly jumping back and forth from one thing to another. which has its pros and cons...At the moment one of the requests that I got was for a black stallion which is how I stumbled upon this video, so now Im painting more horses!!! Thank you so much for extending your knowledge and amazing talent to the public...you really are an amazing artist!
I LOVED reading this and learning a little about you and your watercolor journey! Comments like this are what keep me going. Thank you so much, and I can’t wait to see how your black stallion turns out. 😉
Thanks for sharing this wonderful informational video with the many different types of fur textures. It will definitely help me out with my painting of my youngest daughter’s dog, a Belgian Tervuren.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I really wanted to paint a bunny with water color as a gift to someone, but didn't know what techniques to use. This videos has helped a lot! 😄
Thanks, you are a very good teacher, im so glad i found you. Right now i paint the eye tutorials on patreon, and its so mutch fun! 😍 I feel im realy making progres.
I love watercolor painting planets but I feel like I need more guidance on how to make it look flawless. Could you make a video about watercolor planets?
Thank you so much! so clear and to the point I love it! for the spreading of the bristles rather than mashing your paintbrush, I have found if you use your index finger and bend the bristles down, it turns the brush into a fan-like shape, this lets you keep the bristles spread out without having to keep mashing them down.
This was so helpful. Thankyou so much for such a clear, well thought through and paced, informative tutorial. I feel much more confident to try this now. Truly fantastic.
Awesome as always. Been practicing fur for a a few days. Sometimes I don't think my wash is dark enough before adding the fur. I'm gonna use heavier paint over my wet on wet. Thank you for all your great videos
This is the clearest set of instructions I’ve found on painting fur. Thank you so much!
