I have used red, green & white headlamps throughout the years & I can say I've had A LOT better luck with the green light. I can't tell you how many deer I've either walked/biked passed using the green light. It's not as bright as white, but bright enough to see limbs & it just doesn't spook deer like a bright white light normally does. I've even had deer walk right up to me using the green. It's almost like they don't even see it (which is more than I can say for the red or bright white lights)! It's all I use anymore, unless tracking a deer. LOVE the content Beau! Keep it up man

Can you tell us more about your camp cooktop setup & how the griddle fits. Does it replace the grill top?

I bought a drone and strapped this giant LED light on it and I’ll fly down to 100 ft deer behind my house and turn the light on and they don’t even notice the light. I don’t think they see light like we do. I mean they don’t even react to it. I think when people think they get busted by the headlamp, I think really they just see you walking.

Red doesn't affect night vision as badly
Night vision goggles tend to be green because you can distinguish different shades easily

There is really no need for a bright light ( headlamp or not) on entry. I use my cell phone screen ( not the flashlight) on entry/exit. It gives enough light without displaying your location.

That's a good idea but my home screen is set on dark mode so not very bright. I use the phone flashlight but cover it with my finger and it gives a low glow. A deer walked to me this morning just as I shook the phone to turn it off lol
