- College and University Educators watch on as U.S. Marines demonstrate different Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP) moves and techniques on board Marine Corps Base Quantico, VA. The Midwest Marines hosted an Educators Workshop at the crossroads of the Marine Corps and gave them the opportunity to go through some of the training and see how Marines live.
"We'll go 20% cuz obviously we dont wanna hurt or kill each other" *literally 5 seconds later a marine gets push kicked"
The worst it does is get the wind knocked out of you 😅 ain’t bad at all.
0:54 fucking brutal kick. I'll bet that guy still got rocked a little even though he was well prepared for it. USA!
So watch out Canada, don't be getting crazy up there.
For those of you asking questions MCMAP is marine corps martial arts program
right on!...saved lot of time from googling
@@tavita Google? Uh.... they tell you what it means.
That was a great flow demo of techniques.
Anybody hating on Marine Corps Martial Arts doesn't know what its for. it is designed for 3 things; disarming, compliance, and killing. The killing portion is focused on disabling your opponent so that you can kill him. Most of the moves are intended to put the target in a position where you can eliminate him as quickly as possible. its not for recreational fighting, and its not for knocking someone out in a fight.
Guess that's how The Punisher could hold his own against Daredevil.
The Punisher is former Marine
Madjo 1999 that’s what he’s pointing out.
@Peter Schmidt Problem was that LINE wasn't create until 1989 and MCMAP in 2002 (unless if it's the marvel netflix)
@@amonrah250 got a ww2 marine combat manual. It was pretty much a modified koryu jujitsu at the time. MCMAP is a further development of it. It's interesting to see the similarities
Snake, try to remember the basics of MCMAP
CrossedAlarm i was thinking the music sounded a lot like snake eater
I had the privilage of serving with Sgt. Thompson (the bad ass black dude). If your read this Sharron, I looked up to you and your example even though you weren't in my platoon. THATS how bad ass you are.
That guy is a beast.
💪🏽🔥💯
The Marines are alway's the first to go & the last to leave in action & for that i give them my respects to the Few The Proud The Marines
0:54 damnnmnnn lmfao
Man I wouldn't mess with the marines either if I was in the NVA
hats off to your brother :) my friend is getting ready to go over seas and I'm gonna truly miss him but I support him 100% and wish him the best of luck and success. Don't let ignorant people who don't know what it means to go over seas get to you, they are not worth the calories you waste in paying attention to them.
That's some darn good training. Wish We had that when I went through.
yes that was LtCol Shusko
Save me the pride. You do have a huge and greatly trained army that I really like the structure of, seriously. But that's a really bold statement to make, looking at Spetsnaz training...
This aged like milk
@@kevintanaka4549 "spetsnaz" yeah right lmfao, all got wiped out at an airport
0:53 THIS IS MCMAP!
@magicdude814
I won't lie, im a Marine and i dont think MCMAP is one of the most deadliest martial arts. Don't get me wrong there are moves in the syllabus that would work and are effective but a lot of it also isnt that effective. It's a great foundation for other types of martial arts but again i wouldnt say it's one of the deadliest.
I love quantico
I love mcmap
Oorah. I'm proud to serve with them.
To an extent, but no martial arts out there will make you invincible.
From my experience in MCMAP we had to face multiple opponents, and or were sneak attacked by two additional opponents while facing one.
From what the instructor told us, it was to prepare us to accept the fact that we can be killed at any moment in combat, because in real life that shit happens; and there's not a lot you can do.
I'm sure further down they teach better defense against multiple opponents.
Spoken like a warrior.
u gota love it when instruors spar
the ground is made out of rubber. I'm just not too sure where they get it, I think they shred tires. Maybe I'm wrong.
As a 180 lbs male, not gonna be able to send a big John flying with a disarm or kick. Do the marines train smaller men to handle a stronger, larger adversary? Kind of a dumb question, but I wanna know if it's a well focused topic in mcmap.
2:18 Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan
really Spartan kick !!!!!
nice, where can I see more???
I've heard people saying marines spend very little time training in MCMAP before they head overseas, so while the majority of marines probably aren't as good as these guys that are demonstrating, the fact remains this still looks like a simple and effective martial art to learn. Still don't know if it would stand up against the asian martial arts though
Every dojo should replace the mats with rocks
Are these techniques part of the Tan belt that one would learn at boot camp or a different one?
Lost me in the word "pattern:"
Fights don't have patterns. You have to ready to adapt at any moment for a new situation. It isn't over until someone is unconscious or left the fight to where they are no longer a threat.
Then you leave before they come back with weapons and/or reinforcements.
Fights actually have a lot of very predictable patterns
@CPO121 haha id like to see you go up against a MCMAP instructor
@Ascenscion123 All these moves are either judo and jiujitsu which aren't even close to 5000 years.
pretty cool, can these guys be hired for personal security?
I realize i may catch hell for this and its only a movie, however, if anyone has seen Olympus has fallen, could they tell me if the H2H combat that he employed throughout the movie realistic? thanks
yes, it is. I trained with the rangers some years back. (mike banning is a ranger). if you notice all the moves he uses are very simple yet brutal. No fancy kicks or "movie moves" There is no true "form" to really teach. it's about survival. hence banning killing his opponent with a bust of Lincoln. you do whatever you have to. make no mistake, these boys are holding back.
Lol the two we on at the end where deff turn on haha comedy
@CPO121 hey if your talking about Walkabout bar in Guildhall Square, Portsmouth then that involved 4 royal marines not u.s marines. 4 royal marines killed one civilian
@shinobielite009720 why is it not? All the techniques are taking from other arts (copied to a T)...Name a art that is best suited for the military?
My bro is a Marine falconer 12man 3rd magc 3rd maw!!!!
As a turk, I Respect These guys like hell 0.0
i dont mean to be outta line but i think that lady at the last of the video wasnt paying much attention to the fine skills these marines were putting forth but other then that it was pretty cool
Once Gets To a Ground Game,
It's Over.
So you get your black belt once you graduate?
Nice.
0:09 Sick takedown
Bruh, this its Street Fighting with jiu jitsu and pure Wrath
BEAST
I came because Godzillarex video about The Punisher
was that colonel shuska?
They did state they were going at about 20% so no one got hurt.
The Chinese military is larger, but saying it's by a long shot is a stretch. the only way you can really say that is if you count paramilitary- in which case North Korea dwarfs even China.
i reckon i could take 'em
now thats how u truly should fight
@MrSiggas89 yep
That's my devil dogs...
@FistoftheIronDragon you do realize it was just a demo right?
@WolvesBane95 nope 4 people are
@Dinoenthusiastguy or US Army Soldiers
Yeah, but that's what I'm asking. Wouldn't MCMAP teach him how to defend against situations like that?
THIS IS SPARTA!!!!!
Is it same MMA technics?
I think he said their martial arts sucks, not them.
How do you think this compares to civilian Krav Maga
Props to the Devil Doc! OORAH!
@Sheistaninja Bullshit! The MCMAP program is a state of the art program which takes the best from all martial arts and unarmed combat.I'd like to see you try and fight one of these instructors using krav maga.If you lasted more than 5 seconds I'd be very surprised.
THIS IS SPARTA at :55
SWEET
If the gunman is close enough to the unarmed man, it actually becomes a disadvantage.
SEMPER FI!!!
No those are not taught at bootcamp level.
So the jab, hook, uppercut, leg kick, eye gouge,hip/shoulder toss, armbar, triangle, kimura, guiltione isn't applicable? Remember your taught to avoid the ground at all costs as someone will come and kick you in the head..BJJ is not the best to be taught, next time you roll put on boots a 20lb vest and a helmet...Go at it with someone with no skill and tell me how it worked..Allow them to attack your groin/eyes if need be and then let me know what you think
Respect Marines Motherfucking Dino - Is Hard Wake Up Early For Run Miles Recruit New Personal When You Sleep Marines Running Miles and prepare for the battle
Yeah, if only the terrorists would go home and try to feed their families, corrupt politicians would stop trying to get more control, and these guys would be recognized as the heroes they are. They world be such a better place. :(
I want to excel at MCMAP and martial arts but i would never try an armbar on the battlefield. I might get my leg bitten
Or worse... It's good your using your head. It's gonna save your testicles one day. I swear. No homo 💪🏼😂🤜🏼 HAHAHA!
0:55 Holy shit man that badass
He doesn't need to kill anybody, he could've just kicked their asses.
Makes me wonder why guys like Brian Stann are allowed fight in the UFC haha
Makes me want to slam myself on the floor for fun to try it out.
Iraq military of college..bocc 106 Was here 😊

hehe... you gotta go back where you came from 2:38
It's normally attributed to a Japanese general in World War II but the quote is totally fabricated. Never happened... I wish it did because it's pretty badass...
Damn son
@Heavymetal350Z Become a Marine and you wont need security.
This makes me wonde why guys like Brian Stann are allowed in the UFC haha
and thats just going 20%
haha i dare u to say that to my face
Orah marines
He was hit with a bottle, then jumped.
MMA at its best
Both world wars....
*military not army
i never coud understand that a person with a gun is submitted by another unarmed person..illogical.
imagine 0:55 at 100% holy shit
Question, if MCMAP is really that effective, why wasn't it able to protect Dakota Meyers from getting his ass handed to him by some kid last December?
Jadi kangen dengan pacar Kolonel Amerika Serikat 2 meter saya
These people talking shit about the core i would love to see you say it to a marines face
Kil
Well, then here, go toe to toe with a marine, then tell me their fighting sucks.
this video made them soil their pants...obviously they dislike it...They should surrender their weapons and return to the farms and factories their people so desperately needs to get food and shelter. War, is bad for bussines...at least for normal people's bussines.
