yeah bro it is the fastest American fighter with the best air to air record. pop this thing in Iraq it goes hard af the Iraqis fear the sound of a F15 engine, rightfully so.
The engineers at McD-Dgls sure sharpened their pencils to design and create the F15 back in the late 60s.

Mountain Home AFB was my first assignment out of basic training back in 1984. They had the F-111 and F-111E at the time. Nicknamed the aardvark.
@@nomadicheathen6054 MHAFB was my first, as well. F-111F in 1973. I followed the A's from Nellis over to Korat, Thailand in '74. Eventually went PCS to Holloman with the F15A's
@@Bdub1952 Went from MHAFB to McChord AFB (now named Joint Base Lewis McChord) in Washington state where they had the 318th TAC of F-15's. To this day, the Eagle is still my favorite fighter. One bad ass jet!

Idk about the Hornet but in the Tomcat they check the radar for targets and controls communication

What’s with that opening shot? It looked like both airmen’s seats rose up from below, like on elevators! Was that an optical illusion? I’ve ALWAYS seen these airmen climb up a ladder and down into the plane.
