Of note- tumors with EWSR1-fusion genes include
Ewing sarcoma: The original tumor where EWSR1 rearrangements were discovered
Soft tissue tumors: EWSR1 rearrangements are common in soft tissue tumors, including desmoplastic small round cell tumor (DSRCT), myxoid liposarcoma (MLPS), extraskeletal myxoid chondrosarcoma (EMC), and angiomatoid fibrous histiocytoma (AFH)
Myoepithelial tumors: At least half of soft tissue myoepitheliomas and myoepithelial carcinomas have EWSR1 rearrangements
Carcinomas: EWSR1 fusion genes are found in specific carcinomas, such as clear cell sarcoma and hyalinizing clear cell carcinoma of the salivary gland
Mesothelioma: EWSR1 fusion genes are found in a subset of mesothelioma
