Yep. It's so easy for a remodeling project to get put off for a very long time. Some people just get tired of it. Good to see Cole has it in him to see this project thru.
Your LAWN IS BEAUTIFUL. Nice to see all your hard work coming to fruition. And yes, DC is super kind and kindness is the glue that holds the family together. Your grandpa I'm sure is proud of all of you.
Usually people find it odd when I ask them, “Do you know Cole The Cornstar?” Funny thing just happened. The AC guy is here and he commented on our home renovations and was telling me about his 5acre ranch. I asked him, Do you watch Cole the Cornstar?” He said YES and I was so happy! 😄 It’s the little things. 😄. My husband picks on me a little for watching you guys. He says, “you must want to be a farmer.” I tell him, “no. I just like to see things getting done.” 😏 🤣
Yes Cole you're doing a wonderful job on the house your Grandpa would be very proud of you and props to the wonderful help you guys have you have some good friends
Mr Cole, I have to say that was a well put together video. I really enjoyed it. Hard working family and friends. Thanks for the short story about your grandpa. Hope to hear more about him in the future. Indeed
When removing plaster make a hole in the plaster with a Hamer, do not puncture the lath. Then take a straight edged shovel and use that to scrape the plaster off the walls. This is way easter than smashing it all with a hammer, this also makes bigger chunks of plaster, so they are easer to pick up.
That's what I was thinking. I use a shingle shovel and it works great. Then when I do the ceiling, I punch through he lathe and turn the shovel perpendicular and pull down. No need for a ladder that way.
Hate to say this because I do like that look, however, my daughter had a whole brick wall exposed in her London flat and she said the amount of dust it created was phenomenal. I think it's OK if you don't mind cleaning all the time .

Open windows on the opposite side of the house with the fans blowing out - cross breeze created to minimize dust in the home...works like a charm
