I'm not sure what kind of mics these are, but I remember one of my favorite underrated ASMRtists that unfortunately took down their channel around 2021 used these same mics and was the reason I loved their channel. They capture soft speaking/mouth sounds sooo good. You have the most soothing voice, I love the raspiness in your whispers and paired with these mics is just peak ASMR. I just discovered your channel recently and have been falling asleep to all your videos since. Thank you for the good sleep 😴💤❤️

    *Hey Dalton!* ☺
Will you instruct us to sleep today? 🙃 I'm very excited to see how this will work for me and I certainly won't let you tell me twice about closing my eyes. (Oh that rhymes, lol) So you two tired eyes, you now have a long break. And to you two spoiled ears, pay attention and listen carefully!!!
Why do I have the strange feeling that this is going to be a sleep test? I just hope you don't fail anyone who can't sleep at the end because of all the excitement and all the instructions... 😉
    *Word Association*
I hope you'll spare me the word "chocolate" today!!! I associate a lot with it... 😅
Pillow -> soft and cozy, I have two pieces... one for my left ear and one for my right ear, lol.
Blanket -> warming and protective, sometimes I hide under there. 🙃
Teddy bear -> makes me smile and feel happy, everyone should have several to cuddle if there is no cat, haha.
Bathtub (I hope I've understood the right word, but I'll take this now) -> If you can't find a more comfortable place to sleep, you could also sleep in it. 😂
Sofa -> It's comfortable, but I prefer my bed.
Pajamas -> I knew I had forgotten something, haha! One moment please, I'll be right back... some time later... Sorry, I couldn't make up my mind, but now I'm finally ready to sleep.
Dream -> That's what I do day and night.
When I look at these words, I think it's a relaxation and sleep preparation list.
    *Repeat the phrase*
Should I shout the phrases out loud to you or rather whisper them or imagine them in my mind? 🤔 And I'll probably come up with more thoughts, which unfortunately I can't avoid. 🙃
    1. “The book is on the table.” -> Just which book? Okay, I'll find out. Just one moment please! ... Okayyy, interesting song ... I must have missed it somehow back then ... Oh no, now I have a catchy song in my head ... I'd better not look at my table anymore today... lol
    2. “Please pass the salt.” -> Okay, I can't help but think of a Slovakian fairy tale that was adapted into a movie a very long time ago called "The Salt Prince" and which reveals a really good insight, namely that vital salt is more valuable than gold.
    3. “Can you turn the lights off when you leave?” -> Yes please, I won't be able to sleep otherwise...
    4. “I did a walk in the park.” -> And I did a walk in the forest. 😄
    5. “She sells seashells by the seashore.” -> We also have such a nice tongue twister, one of the best known in Germany: “Fischers Fritze fischte frische Fische, frische Fische fischte Fischers Fritze.” It means: A man named Fritz Fisherman (Fischer) has caught some very fresh fish. I love this phrase because it contains of so many beautiful "shhhh's". 🥰
    6. “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog” -> I didn't know this phrase either. But it's a nice pangram. I made the effort once and went through the whole alphabet and crossed out the letters, haha. I changed "jumped" to "jumps" and then it worked. 👍
    7. “A cat sat on the mat.” -> Omg, what are you doing to me? I should rather not do any more research. I'm already so tired and now I have even more words with "at" in my head... “A cat sat on a flat mat near a fat vat together with a red rat and a bad bat and with a hot hat that pat the head of the cat.” - Please try to speak this extremely crazy tongue twister very quickly. In any case, I reached my limit today. 😉😂
    8. “Can you hear the clock ticking?” -> Yes, I can... I need to sleep slowly, but the imaginary ticking is distracting me too much!!! lol

    9. “The painting hangs above the fireplace.” -> Hopefully the colors are fireproof! 😆
    10. “Water flows under the bridge.” -> Very nice idiom! We call it "Schnee von gestern" (yesterday's snow). Well then, let's move on to the next chapter!
    *Listen and Answer*
Oh, that's a nice idea. Exercises like this promote active listening and training your memory. But when you're tired, it's sometimes not that easy, hahaha.
    *Follow the Sounds*
Well, it doesn't work like that. Both times, when I had finally memorized the order of the sounds with as much concentration as I could muster in my tired state, you suddenly blew in my ears. And this slow and gentle blowing that you did, which I find incredibly pleasant, blew the memory of the order out of my brain each time. So I'm incredibly sorry that I can't answer your question. 😜
    *Follow the Numbers*
This short concentration task was quite easy to master with logic and attention. And even your voice couldn't distract me enough, although you didn't make it too easy for me, haha.
    *Counting the Brushes*
Omg, how dare you? 😉 Well, that's an even harder task for me than following the sounds. Because you just gave me an extreme lack of oxygen, I can't remember anything. I need to recover first... I need to breathe again... this is sweet torture.... it's like chocolate but different and somehow much worse. But I love it very much, lol!!! 🥰
*Lights Out Instructions & Follow My Voice*
My brain is also starting to have an "power issue". It's sooooo tired! But this task is quite pleasant and very relaxing. My energy is just enough to concentrate to follow the sounds and your voice. And it reminds me a tiny bit of your wonderful Spine Tingling series. Great! ☺
    *Naming Items*
Four animals? -> Cat, dog, chickens, sheep... these are all animals in my immediate neighborhood.
Two more animals? -> Horses and cows... they're a bit further away, but I can still hear them.
Can anyone of them chop? -> Like a beaver chopping down a tree? No, I don't think so.
    Scales? -> nope
Fur? -> yes, all except the chickens
Meat eaters? -> two, dog and cat, and if you count bugs and worms as meat, then chickens are also included, lol
Cooking ingredients? -> Potatoes, onions, eggs, spinach, carrots, peas, cabbage, salmon, SALT of course 😉 etc. ... Which ones did I actually use myself? All of them of course, I could name many more things. I actually cook myself almost all the time.
Four or five different dishes? ->
    1. schnitzel with potatoes, asparagus and hollandaise sauce
    2. pasta with spinach and scrambled eggs
    3. chicken soup
    4. fried salmon with rice and vegetables
    5. should I go for the clichéd traditional knuckle of pork with sauerkraut, lol? I tend not to eat that, although the sauerkraut is very tasty. 😋
Which dishes are not from my country? -> Good question, I think almost everything is quite classic from here. Number 1 and 5 are definitely typically German. Okay, rice and noodles are not originally from here, but they are still completely normal food here.
Which of the dishes do I really enjoy? -> Number 2 and 4
    *Descriptive Colors*
    1. sunset: yellow, gold, orange, red
    2. autumn leaves in the forest: yellow, red, orange, brown and a little bit green
    3. view of the ocean: blue, green, turquoise
    4. dawn in the mountains: yellow, gold and sky blue
    5. city at night: white-silvery or yellow-gold with splashes of color
    6. five things that are close to me at the moment: my bed, my laptop on which I am currently watching and writing, a bedside table, a pile of books on it and a cup of tea
    *Blind Sound Identification*
I love towels over my head, haha. 🥰 And the sounds were all very pleasant and not difficult to guess. I even recognized the hand fan, I'll just say ... laser sword! 😉
    *Music Note Recognition*
Haha, that could be fun. 😄 I like to sing a lot, but I don't have a perfect pitch and I don't usually play guessing notes by ear, so I'm probably super bad at this, lol. But I really like the idea! Then please play the notes on the piano... by the way, I've memorized that it's called piano ‘key’. So as you can see, your many riddles in the last videos are also great for learning vocabulary. 😉 However, I'm wondering whether you have a real piano next to you or whether you added the notes during editing? Both could be possible...
Okay, Dalton, thank you so much again! 🤗❤ This video was another excellent piece of work from you. I am always amazed at how you manage to inspire me with new content. I've seen a few "follow my instructions" videos from other creators and they've all been very relaxing and I've enjoyed them too. I just enjoy them and then don't think about them any further. But your video, like many of your other videos, engage me intellectually for a while at least when they are new to me. They are like a big learning or quiz book. And after going through them, they're like beautiful sounding radio plays to me that never get boring, no matter how many times I've heard them. They are all incredibly relaxing, I can fall asleep to them, sleep through them and wake up to them. And your voice, especially your extremely gentle whispering voice in this video, sounds so warm and cozy to my ears. It's always beautiful and I really enjoy listening. 🥰 I could really imagine your voice as a narrator for ASMR-style audio books with subtle sounds and soft music. I don't know if something like that already exists, but if not, it's definitely a gap in the market.
Thanks again and have a great start to the new week! 😄💚

Thank youuuu, I thought you'd get a kick out of this video since you're always paying such close attention.
Unfortunately no I don't have a piano stuffed in my small studio haha. I did play them on a virtual keyboard and add them in for you later though. Which I will say was easier said then done. But now I know how to do that at least haha.
Really glad these videos resonate so well compared to other stuff you've heard. I do try to find something that seems to be working in the genre, consider if I can do it in the first place, and try to make it better than the original. I guess that's just how people just keep improving on things others have done though anyway. Goes for my own videos too of course.

Wow, you went all out on this! Even though this may be "easy" ASMR genre, I still think it's an effective way to engage the viewer, especially when done well, which you certainly did here. I was multitasking during some parts of this and it's surprising how much you can miss when your focus is divided lol. You chose a nice variation of instructions, including those that require memory, perception, creativity, and compliance, to make an overall great video.
