    I LOVE YOU! oh my goodness I have been pulling my hair out for weeks!!!!!!! Advanced Flat Rate would not work for me. I have sat on the phone with techs 7 days in a row. Deleted advanced flat rate - started searching & found you!! YOU are SO easy to follow step by step not at all confusing. And ta da I got exactly what I was looking for! multiple options on my carts total orders, free shipping at a certain price etc. I am up and running & no longer losing money on shipping. Cheers Mate from a Britt in Boston Mass USA

    This is crazy. I watched your earlier videos on shipping today and then downloaded this plug in to try and figure out how to do quantity based shipping and then you upload this video and I think I found my solution..I can set it up by weight now to match the quantity. Amazing! Thank you!

      WooCommerce shipping is one of those areas that have so many possible combinations that it's mind boggling. While this freebie doesn't cover every base, it certainly helps to have it in your back pocket for those times where you need a table based shipping solution.

    T H A N K Y O U ! ! I was using another table rate plugin and I could not find a way to combine virtual and physical products without having shipping being charged on the total amount. This saved me. Took a moment (really more than a moment) to see that I could add a virtual product with a weight of 0 and then add weights for other products to differentiate between the virtual and physical. The shipping now will not be charged on the virtual product when combined with physical products. I am using tiered shipping based upon the price of the item. 👍😊

    Hei! Nice video as usual! :)
    One question - how can I set up in wordpress using woocommerce 2 shipments methods with different lead-time and price. For example shipping method 1 - standard shipment 12-14 days - price 100Euro and shipping method 2 - express shipment 2-4 days - price 135E. Is just an example basically this is how I want to run it.
    Thanks in advance!

    Thank you for the tutorial. It works perfectly. I do run into the following. Customers get a certain discount when purchasing different amounts of products. In doing so, I also give them a signup discount. The transportation cost is dropped at a certain amount. Is it possible to have the transportation cost calculated after the discount is applied? And how do I get that done?

    Thank you for all the shipping videos ...
    And I need to know what I should do if:
    Firstly, I have 2 kinds of products 1. integration print-on-demand products (which calculates its shipping cost without any interference from my side) 2. my own product that I'll pack and ship myself. How to set my shipping cost like in the video but at the same time don't affect the integrated shipping cost.
    Secondly, how can I set the website general setting of selling/shipping destinations? 1. for my product ( to specific one country), 2. the integration products ( which is worldwide)
    Thank you

    Well I am confused now as I have set up a couple of tables up for Royal Mail i.e. Small Parcel (up to 2kg) and Medium Parcel (up to 20kg) with the flexible shipping plugin. The customer buys a small item, they are then presented with sending it via a Small or Medium parcel, so they have 2 choices when it should be just be one. A small parcel has different dimensions than a medium parcel of the same weight, so how can we handle that? Each item does have dimensions added.

    how about a minimum fee for fixed weight and an additional fee for every excess weight.
    ex, the product is 20kg and the minimum fee is $6 for 10kg and an additional $0.25 for the excess kg
    shipping = $6 + ($0.25 x 10)

    • @me73941
      @me73941 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm checking out this plugin that the video is about (table rate shipping), but it really depends on where you're located and where you're trying to ship to. Woocommerce has official plugins for USPS, FedEx, UPS, Canada Post, Royal Mail (U.K.), Australia, etc. These are all separate plugins, but they access the official API. With any one of these plugins installed, your customer can choose the shipping method from a drop-down menu at checkout, and it will calculate shipping rates. Hope this helps. Any other questions, just ask.

This means whenever you change a product you must go and click on save in Flexible Shipping shipping method in order for the new weight to be calculated correctly! Anyone can help please? Really great tutorial. I'm just struggling to get this working in combination with the "Pick-up" option that WooCommerce offers. I turned that on with costs 0.00 of course. And I setup the rule in flexible shipping to be 5.00 for orders up to 75 and then free. Whenever my basket contains under 75, I can now select either pickup or my flexible order options, but when my basket amount exceeds 75, the option will no longer be there and it defaults to pick-up... Anyone else struggling with this?

    It would actually cause less confusion of you used an actual zone instead of calling the zone 'flexible shipping'. At least by calling it a zone, newbies to your page can get a clearer understanding of what you are talking about.

    Hello Paul, thank you for the tutorial, unfortunately it's not suitable for my shipping needs, however i'm hoping you or one of your members may be able to point me in the right direction.
    I'm a UK based business and not eligible for VAT. via wordpress/woocommerce i will be selling 42 items of mixed weight and believe flexible shipping is required, and possibly taxes, but unsure if there are any free plug-ins that cover below?:
    UK customers options
    Flat Rate: charge £3.95 for orders below £74.98 (2nd class delivery, signed/tracked)
    Free Shipping: orders £74.99 (2nd class delivery, signed/tracked)
    Local pick-up offered for free
    express delivery: customer reviews a few options of courier/fee and selects (1st/2nd class, signed/tracked)
    Tax: not applicable
    US/CANADA/N/AU/EU
    Flat Rate: £9.99 (2nd class, signed/tracked)
    Free Shipping: orders over £180 (2nd class, signed/tracked)
    express delivery: customer reviews a few options of courier/fee and selects (1st/2nd class, signed/tracked)
    Tax: applicable (requires software to work out cost based on location)
    I wrongly assumed i could complete this task, i'm unsure if i should be adding products inclusive of tax, or exclusive due to wanting to include other countries, and now stopped to seek a shipping/tax plug-in solution. hope above makes sense.
