For once I was pleasantly surprised by an adaptation. Most times I watched anime adaptations of mangas for the animation and supporting the series hoe I can. That's why for mawhas it's harder since the art is already good and colored, and if the anime doesn't improve much then I have little incentive to rewatch the story and to take months or years to do so. With this they kept that story as is and expanded on a lot of interesting things that were left to imagination. I gully enjoyed ep 1 and it did justice to the mamwha so I hope it keeps on like this without going to slow or too fast wirh the pacing and especially not cutting out to much
0:00 people are talking about that A1 did amazing by sticking to light novel for the first few scenes, and I've seen a LOT of them talking about it. So who's wrong here? Cause I haven't read either LN or manhwa
So what I imagine people are getting wrong is that the first scene is actually a flashback to 3 years before the rest of the show. There'll be an arc later in the story set im the same location with some of the same characters, which is why people are getting confused!
@@TridentAU so what you said in the video is wrong then? The opening of the episode wasn't about the later Jeju arc. It's about the failed raid 3 years prior to the start of the story, the one that cost them control of the island. It even says '3 years ago' as the first frame of animation.
I'm really scared that they will absolutely need the CGI for the shadows and for adapting certain panels that in the manhwa are extremely chaotic. I'm afraid that this adaptation will become something like the One-Punch man situation, where the source material is just too good to be able to give it proper justice in an anime form.
1:29 It's just dumb scene. Why two people talking about why their organisation going to raids? It's like CEO of bank talks with banker why they're storing money in the bank. And scenarists 5 minutes later have a great scene where to put information for watchers. Scene where same president explains how shit works for newbies.
That isn't actually true. The island is in the webtoon, it just comes much later. Pretty much everything that wasn't our mc going or being in the dungeon came later in the story. The anime decided to get straight into the worldbuilding much sooner than the toon. The only downside to this is for people who already know all about the world structure. Also, it mentions a dungeon break, but never explains what that is. Spoiler It's when a dungeon is left unbeaten to long and the monsters are allowed to leave and start wreaking havoc on the world.
The Jeju Island raid in the anime is set 3 years before the rest of the show - it's one of the failed raids the Koreans launched prior to the setting. The Jeju Island arc will come later!
what they showed was the raid that happned before , the first jeju island raid that failed (which wasnt shown but just mentioned in the webtoon), the jeju island arc is the one that comes after .. Honestly i love how the anime did it , cuse they explained and showed stuff that had to be shown instead of leaving to be imagined like the LN did ..so i really hope they keep this consistency for the coming 12 episodes

@@dziugazz yeah, and as I mentioned in the video, its Anime only, not the same raid in the webtoon and light novel
Is that a remix 86 BGM???🔥
Indeed it is haha
Thanks for your explanation
Great
Hey Trident how much time and effort would it take for you to change your avatar to Choi Jong-In?
Hahah I probably could if I really wanted to
Neat.
good work 👍
