It’s not possible for variable products. If you want to set a discount for a variable product, then you have to adjust the price on every single product one at a time.

I tried every possible way you showed to change the price but it did not change for any. Nothing was getting crossed and the discount was not showing

This is because you have chosen “sales price” instead. You must change the regular price.
