I find a lot of people underrate Ishtar Rider, but yea, I think you got her right with a solid A. I used her pretty heavy early on. I do put the mecha elis in A too, they hit surprisingly hard
Iyo, imo, is S tier solely because she's the only welfare who can snowball in farming, and she's also a crit machine.
I arrived halfway the stream and I could only follow some bits because I was studying, happy to see the full thing now.
Thank you for this list, it is really nice to hear from a lot of different perspectives how each welfare can shine in their own way. Never really gave a lot of my welfares the time of day, but I'm definitely changing that. Thanks 😁
Love the tierlist and your insight. Was fun to watch you ramble. Personally i think a couple of placements could be higher or lower.
Sieg is boring but hes so reliably consistent. His comparisons are either good but hindered by low attack due to being a 3 star or you have to roll for. In this regard there is no other welfare (other than hebetrot) who i think gives you as much potential output from a farming perspective and even in a challenge contest 3 turns of consistent np is really nice and its not like he and Paracelsus can't function in the same comp if you can find a way to get arts up for both. I feel like hes at least bottom of A+
I like lancer yu but i think shes in the same tier as the A+ people. Shes great and really effective to build around but i think kintoki just brings so much firepower in his own kit with the biggest concern being survival ,which is not super hard to do, that a newer account would prefer kintoki is not purely for his higher star rate. I may just value more selfish dps's tho. And nightingale is a great support that helps new and established accounts alike. Personally id argue with she could be lower between those but i think that's more of a question of how much do you value the role of the unit rather than the power.
I certainly feel kagetora is worse than Hokusai game play wise. Hokusai builds on herself gaining crit and charge allowing her to be a strong force for three turns and starts immediately with her battery. kagetora's one turn buffs can leave her feeling significantly weaker one her off turns. Both are arts which can supply defensive features the best of the major card types so while she has better defensive features shes just not as effective at her goal is my opinion. Though still clearly in the same tier with everyone else you put him with.
id also say ryouma could probably be higher within his tier just becuase he is one of the only arts riders and that can be helpful in itself just from castoria survivability and the fact there might be a situation in which an arts rider dps might be optimal. I wouldn't roll for that reason but for free i will account for that niche card type utility.
Chloe generating 30+ stars with NPAA while s3 is active is really underlooked...

Crazy how habetrot is the best farmer welfare and then has half of BB's kit stapled onto her in addition to that.
It’s funny watching this now and hearing about how Saber Alter is better but still rough when you were talking about the Santa version, meanwhile I’m looking at her newest buff and the wiki while wondering who thought it was ok.
Honestly nightingale should probably be higher. I missed her event and I don’t have any other way to get buff removal resist, and it’s genuinely terrible in the lost belts.

just to clarify assassin scathachs insta kill goes after damage.
nobody seems to know this (probably cause nobody uses her) but that makes her a viable quick farmer for riders and berserkers.

I disagree with some things, heavily disagree with a few, and agree with a lot of them, but my biggest problem in general with any tierlist is the lack of a criteria for what we consider "good" or "better", and the lack of a criteria for the conditions we are comparing or evaluating servants on.
Like, are we assuming their best possible teams, or their best easily accessible teams, or just any team they are on for example, since some servants are very self sufficient and other really need their bis supports to properly shine, but when they have them they really shine. Or how much value are we giving to niches, or to their consistency (or inconsistency, like someone relying too much on debuffs and having to fight enemies with high debuff res or debuff immunity).
And for the criteria for who is "good" or "better", how are we evaluating them? Are we comparing them in terms of how many different fights they can win, how fast can they do them, how consistent and little reliant on good rng, how good their floor performance is, or their ceiling, how good have they been in past fights, how good they could be on potential future fights?
And if we want to give value to more than one of those things as our criteria, then how are we pondering them?
I think those things are usually the most common source of disagreement, and also the most interesting and important topic of discussion.

It's honestly whatever to me, m8. I'm just the type of guy who doesn't hype a character. I like them, but I'll be honest if they feel not very High-Tier. Also, it's your opinion.

@yoshaaq LMFAO. Well, I'm sorry for misunderstanding what you meant then. If that is the case, then you have every reason to be bias.
Personally I would not be as kind towards MIXA to put her that high (I would have put her in B or C going by this list). Her skills are alright, but having an AOE NP while being a Foreigner instead of ST really ruins what would have been a helpful Berserker killer for newbies to own. I know AOE boss fights/CQs involving Berserkers are a thing, but usually other classes are mixed in there and as such it's always better to pick a direct AOE counterclass unit towards the non-Berserker enemy.
Counterpoint: Foreigners also have the single best direct support option in the game for bosses and challenge quests, even if that support won't do nearly as much for an NP as facecards. Van Gogh's NP is a 50% attack buff to everyone every time it goes off, and with two of him/her you can get it off three times in the first two turns. At which point you're doing 250% neutral damage on your AOE NP and hitting for like 65,000/crit, probably more.
On a less arbitrary note: most times I've run into a mixed Berserker/normal class bossfight, the berserker is the main problem that needs to be prioritized rather than the assassin or rider or whatever because they can and will easily kill anything but a foreigner if you don't have defences up that turn. At the same time, you usually can't neglect the non-berserker because if you just rush the berserker and leave them be, they're inevitably going to have their NP ready to go by the time you get through the berserker's second bar with most of your defences used up. Plus AOE foreigner is a very specific and very rare role I can only think of Voyager filling.
@@iusethisnameformygoogleacc1013 That's just Van Gogh being strong, and with how Van Gogh is designed, you might as well build around her as the main attacker instead. Using her as a support for MIXA is just a bandaid for the latter's fundamental issues.

nah yu has no buisness being in s. cu being her competition just makes her a never use for me. i'd take a level 60 cu over 120 yu against males everyday of the week
Cu doesn't NP spam, Cu doesn't protect the team, Cu doesn't crit, Cu doesn't do a ton of damage to males, Cu doesn't negate the viability of another servant, and above all, Cu doesn't matter in this list. Something else being good doesn't make something worse. We're just talking about the welfares. If Cu was universally better, then he could be put above her on another tier list.
