My stepdad was a semi driver for 20 years or so. He worked for Wendy’s for 6 years and he said that they had to stop every 600 miles to check the trailer temp. The trailer had huge refrigerators in them and they had to keep the meat at precisely 34 degrees f. So it really is “fresh” never frozen

Its the same with Coors Beer. Its supposed to be kept at 35f from the moment its canned to when you crack it. Most stores dont know or care about this though and will store the beer in the back on the floor for days or sometimes weeks before it sells.

Every food job I’ve ever had. I end up getting taken advantage of and screwed over because I work hard. It’s one of the only industries in the world where hard work gets you stuck at the worst positions and worst shifts. While the lazier employees can work their way up. “Sorry we can’t promote you because we need you JUST WHERE YOU ARE.”
I am only a semester and a half from graduating thank goodness. I can’t wait to put working at restaurants behind me. Tired of hating everyday, clocking in, and getting hit non stop with tickets, food to cook, food to prep, BS to clean, other people to make up for who don’t care.

I just left my job at Chick-fil-A because I moved. To this day, it's still the best place I have ever worked (I'm 34 years old). That company is fantastic in every way. I got the job out of desperation, convinced that I was going to hate it. But that company really takes a lot of pride in their work and is managed so well. If you are looking for a job, definitely consider that place if it's close to you.

I used to work at Five Guys and it seems like one of the highest quality “fast food” places, washing hands/wearing gloves constantly (we’d literally burn through boxes of gloves everyday), there’s no freezer, only the pickles arrive pre-cut (and the mushrooms but we all hated the mushrooms there anyways), and I’m assuming they make quite a bit of money because we had 3 people at 3 different levels (cashier, manager, and district manager) stealing money from the store and we still made the most money in our area. But then again, the DM headed a couple stores and had to siphon money in order to afford a Lexus so...

I actually used to work at Mcdonalds as my first job as well and ended up working their for about 6 months. Did everything there except management because i wasn't old enough. Had 3 bad experiences before i quit. 1st strike was when i saw the inside of the Mcflurry machine *shudders* you would not believe how gross it actually is. It takes hours to clean it properly and if they do clean it like they should it would only be able to run for maybe 2 hours a day at most so naturally that didn't happen. 2nd strike was when someone decided to literally take a shit in one of the urinals. I flat out told my manager i would not clean it and because i was the best there they wouldn't fire me. One dude quit on the spot when they asked him to but they did eventually find someone else XD. My last strike was the day before inspection day. I was cleaning the grill section and found literal STALAGMITES of grease behind the grills. I stopped showing up to work after that.

I flipped the fuck out and screamed, "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?!" I was so loud that the manager ran over to check it out and im pretty sure i got the kid fired or he quit cause i never saw him there again XD

I ran the kitchen at sonic for like 3 years, it was one of the most fun jobs I’ve had. I would drink and smoke on the clock with my managers pretty much everyday. I would have free breakfast, lunch, and snacks everyday and I could go outside and smoke a blunt whenever I wanted because my boss loved me.
The worst day I had was when an old cook who quit came back. It was a hood black lady, short and fat with a giant booty. Before she quit we were cool and got along and smoked blunts together. She came back and she is blatantly tweaking on meth, hyper focused, wiping down the kitchen counters instead of making orders.
I’m making sides like chilli dogs and fries, we are in the middle of the lunch rush so I guess she was working sides with me. Something like that, I’m making a chili dog and spill like one small crumb of the shredded cheese on the counter. This girl had a panic attack and starts telling me I’m too messy she can’t work with me, my boss is even like wtf. I think I just went home for the day and she got fired a day or two after for not showing up

I worked at Popeyes chicken when I was 16. I love the blackened ranch sauce, it is delicious. My friend and I quit at the same time and we decided to take a whole box of blackened ranch. Like 100+ little sauce containers in it. I was set for a while.

I work at a factory that makes frozen pizzas and we're basically allowed to take whatever we want.
We throw away some much food for so many stupid reasons, like damaged cases or something. Each case has like 12-16 pizzas in it depending on size, and if the case is damaged at all, it gets thrown away. But the way we throw them away is we put them in a large bin in the freezer and workers are free to grab as many as they want. People often take entire cases because while we can't ship the cases, they're still perfectly edible products. Even senior management takes home pizzas all the time.

At the doughnut shop and ice cream store I worked at I could eat whatever I want because it's so cheap to make and there is a shit ton of it. Then when I was a dishwasher I was allowed one meal of whatever I wanted, as long as it wasn't steak. I definitely wasn't allowed all the energy drinks and Starbucks Frappuccino's I stole.

Yeah.. I used to "steal" food as well when working at Subway. I would make my sandwich and pretend to take out my cash and put it in. we had literally 1 camera in the store and it was in the corner where it wouldn't see my hands. did that a month after I started working there and did it every-other-day for 5 months straight (till I quit). saved me probably 300 -700 dollars and I regret nothing.

I made him a 30 patty cheeseburger with a slice of cheese between each slice, an extra large extreme tot and he ended up eating every single bit.
