Video a little unclear. The MEROSS smart plug won’t work at all without a Matter enabled hub. I’m assuming your using an Apple hub like the Apple TV that has the built in hub or one of their speaker that include the matter support. I know that Alexa has some devices, one of their echo speakers, that also include matter support. Do you know if this plug will work with that? Thanks
After rewatching my video you are correct, I didn't do a very good job of explaining that. I did use a new Apple TV 4K which has the Matter hub built in. Ill make sure to add that in the description. As to your question, yes the new Alexa and Google Home devices that have matter support will work with this plug. Thanks for the comment!
Meross sucks. I spent a lot on their switches (smart outlet plugs), and spent a ton of time setting them all up. They all completely failed within a year. Resetting and re-adding them didn't work for more than a few hours. I threw them all away and went to a better brand that has worked flawlessly.
