- Frank Stella, whose monochromatic paintings and twisting sculptures consistently pushed against the boundaries of art, died Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the age of 87. In this profile originally broadcast on "Sunday Morning" March 22, 2021, he discussed with correspondent Martha Teichner his penchant for outsized sculptures and painted reliefs, and how computer design technology and 3-D printing opened up even more possibilities.

First time I heard of Frank Stella was in the book Edie, An American Biography. His work is amazing, thanks for the report 💫
I feel like my illustration classes were based on the foundations that Frank Stella laid down so many years ago. It's his work that I remember the most. A Legend is gone, his Legacy lives on.
Thank you for your contribution, Good Sir. Bon voyage.😘
