sounds like it would be a good idea to go throw the ribs ever so often and maby weld them bake or something to reinforce them if you can fit something like a axe but its nice to learn about this
I do not recommend beginners to use wolf ribs because it lets your enemy see the fear in your eyes and all the flinching going on under the visor. When you're a veteran, you can keep your eyes open and stare down a halberd rocketing at your skull.
HEMAist here. Would love to one day get into something like Buhurt, looks like a ton of fun and a good excuse to buy armour haha But quick question if you don't mind answering from your experience But with Wolfrib, does it not mean your safety somewhat relies on your opponents not doing something wrong? Or are all tips in buhurt to wide to slip through the gaps? Reason for asking is having seen a couple of videos with Sallets in Harnischfechten where thrusts go under the sallet and open a gap to the face Thus why most sallet users put a buffer plate in. And why many people use mesh like protection inside the eye slits Just because a point SHOULDN'T end up there if your opponent is being proper, isn't worth your eyes in a scrap XD Same reason we don't do drills with steel, without masks. Accidents happen and being a little uncomfortable is a fair trade for not getting a bit of steel upside the face. It's already ahistorical to a degree why not make it a little more so and have the added safety Also your right, it seems really odd what your only allowed one set of bars when all the depictions appeared to show none at all. If it is meant to be historical why allow one? If that is because safety, then is more safety for a single set of bars not a fair trade? Especially if allowing welding/riveting, which again is super ahistorical but adds a lot of safety (I guess you can argue it looks more historical than the straps at a distance lol)
Mine is from Volot Armory and I love it but some common websites are Medieval Extreme, Buhurt Tech, GoHurt, and Historicum. There are others I'm sure but those are the ones I've heard of.
Wear a Wolfrib if youre ok with getting zero wenches at the tavern
Love your wolfrib! Did you have to ask Sergey to make it with those bar rivets? Or did you install them later yourself?

Ya I think a lot of the 2 point types could convert to 12 point for sure but some are just... Weird, idk. Better to just buy it right the first time.

@@jamesj4827 yeah ur pretty much hoping ur opponent doesn't accidentally poke ur face lol
@@DukeTheTank I see nothing but negatives, yeah you can se more, but when you get clapped you can't blame your poor vison for the loss jkjk
Current buhurt meta 😁 the only choice 😂 it’s a shame that most of the good looking helmets are terrible choices 😂
quick question, but where do you get armour that's ready for the sport?
