Parking is a non-issue. It's literally a 4 minute trip from our front door to our car, and we live on a high level here. And if you want to save a few minutes, you can valet your car for free. It's a perk of living here ... self park or valet, unlike the strip condos like Veer or Mandarin where you're restricted to valet only.
Agreed on the grocery store issue. Unfortunately our closest option is the Smiths on Maryland/Sahara and its rough, however we like to go to others in town and we only go once a week to stock up. It's only a 10-15 minute drive to get to a number of good grocery stores including Sprouts. However, the reviews you read out are totally incorrect. There is security at this location at all hours, and they are actually very on top of any transients or issues that develop. For being in a rougher area, I don't feel unsafe here at all and have never had an issue. The person talking about expired food, I've had this issue at Smiths in Summerlin and Henderson also ... it's a Vegas issue, not isolated to this location.
Not sure you can use the shooting as a "reason not to buy" ... clutching at straws here. It was an extremely isolated incident, nothing has ever happened like this in the 15+ years since the towers have been built. If we are going to use violence as a reason not to buy somewhere, every area in Vegas would be off limits. Was a man not stabbed to death, randomly, by a high school kid in the heart of Summerlin a few years back? Also, the shooter was not a resident, but a family member of a resident. The background checks they perform on residents here are very in-depth and it is evident by the quality of our neighbors that live here.
Ultimately, we should be talking about the overall increase in violent crime in Vegas as a whole in the last few years. It has become remarkably more like LA and less like the Vegas I used to remember.

I drive all the time so a few more minutes to get to a store I like wouldn't deter me from purchasing a property but these are the reasons I have been given from buyers who I helped buy units in other towers. Today I am posting a new video highlighting the top 5 things about the tower as well. Let me know your thoughts!

I lived at Turnberry Towers for several years. And I loved it! I personally regret selling my unit and moving to Summerlin. Let me share my experience:
Parking: if you don’t want to walk to your car, just park right in front of the main entrance and give your car keys to the valley boy and let the valley boy park your car. Same when you need your car: ask for your car and the valley boy will get your car and hand it over to you right in front of the main entrance.
Neighborhood to the East is terrible!
The distance to a good grocery store is far. The nearest Smiths is dirty and dangerous, always people at the parking approaching you asking for money. Half of the time I had groceries delivered to Turnberry Towers.
The shooting this year was scary. But crazy people are everywhere in the USA and have easy access to guns in the USA. So this can happen anywhere.
Otherwise lot’s of positive tings. The staff are like family and the HOA was great with very short response time to your emails or phone calls. I now live in Summerlin and the HOA most time doesn’t even answer (even after sending them 10 emails and leaving them 10 voicemails).

I lived there to. Parking was awesome so the #1 reason is actually a plus and the valet parks your car below ground!!!!

I see the shooting more as a selling point. As you say, crazy happens everywhere. And here, the Turnberry Towers guys were on the ball and one of them noticed the resident behaving strangely. Then shots were fired. And one of the employees was concealed carrying and... bing bang bong... that situation ended pretty quickly. Still traumatic for those involved and perhaps for some people living there, but it beats the alternative if the employee hadn't dealt with it. It only takes a few seconds to clear an AR15 jam, so yeah, that employee is a legitimate hero.

Most of the issues didn't seem so bad. The monorail being so close is a big plus. I was more focused on actually having a parking spot rather than the inconvenience of it. But the deal breaker seems to be that rough neighborhood next to it. It seems like it would bring a lot of riff raff around the condo.

Agreed however security is good there 👍 city living is a mixed bag but that’s the only place we have high rise condos for the most part.

Loved the video, Ive lived here 3 years. Some opinions. 1. Yes, but many, many ways around this. 2. That guy is Cooper, he was always in front of TT and spent the nights there. Nice guy, spoken to him, but he's been gone over 1 year now. Other than Coop, that area on Karen has almost no foot traffic. Maybe some joggers. 3. Im hoping something is built! Shold increase value and also something to walk to nearby. Not worried about view, there is a decent distace here (unlike Two Turnberry Place and the Fountainbleu parking structure....horrible!) 4. I go to Smiths every week. It is a bit sketchy, mostly with beggars, but Ive never had an issue in over 3+ years. 5. Firstly, it wasn't a resident. It was the son-in-law of a resident whom he let stay. Humberto (employee who stopped him) is a TRUE HERO.

The empty lot across the street from Turnberry is proposed to be an NBA arena. The noise and crime it would bring down that way would be a hard no. Turnberry does have the nicest grounds out of any of the high rises but that empty lot should make anyone nervous.

    • @TheBrokerLife
      @TheBrokerLife  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Agreed, I read it was an NBA capable arena lol there is another nba capable arena that is also planned in another area of Las Vegas Blvd. As well. At some point we will definitely have a team though.

@@TheBrokerLife I know there was a couple different groups at one point. Other issue I keep coming across is there just is not a real close place to shop for food and nothing really around those buildings. Also getting supplies in an out of those condos would just be a huge pain.

I'm looking forward to the rest of this series, but just a suggestion, maybe add a big MIGHT to the title...like, "Five Reasons you MIGHT NOT want to BUY in Turnberry Towers Las Vegas". Not telling you how to fun your channel, I know nothing about running a channel on this platform, but seeing as there was some people who were kind of sour about the last building, I think simply adding a MIGHT can actually help with that. Anyways, great video..that is some good stuff to know.

When I moved to Vegas almost 20 years ago, friends were practically yelling at me "DUDE! Why didn't you buy a highrise condo!" I explained "because I don't want to be doing my daily shopping for groceries, pharmacy, fast food, home depot, whatever in those neighborhoods." I was poo-pooed.
Then a year later a couple friends came to Vegas for a conference. I drove 'em to a restaurant just off the strip. And then one said "swing by a drug store--I need contact solution". Fine, I head for the closest Walgreens. Two of us stay in the car and he goes in. He comes back in 5 minutes looking kinda pale and says "GET US THE EFF OUT OF THIS HADES HOLE! NOW!" (I'm adjusting the actual words he used.) He refused to tell us what happened, but boy did he have a bad experience in those 5 minutes in that Walgreens at 10pm. After he'd calmed down a little he said "I see now what you meant about shopping near the hi-rises... you made the right decision to get a house farther out".
And yet 20 years later I find myself thinking "maybe a high-rise would fit me now". Dunno.

@@TheBrokerLife People of sub-Saharan descent are only 13% minority in USA, yet commit overwhelming amounts of shooting. And the anti-White media will always nit-pick lone White psychos to make it seem that the shooter problem is actually a White thing.

I don't live there now or have any current connection with it but I do know this property. And I have some counter points.
    1) parking. Honestly a non issue. If you go anywhere in Vegas you are going to step out of your car. And you can valet with no tipping. 2) location. NO WAY I would want to live on the Strip!. Its far away enough from the Convention Center and Festival grounds to not have to deal with Strip traffic. 3)View: Actually I view this as a plus. Whatever is built there will probably be pretty amazing. 4) Grocery stores. Who shops for groceries anymore if you live in a high rise? Just order it online and they will deliver it. 5) Shooting -- come on. That's a low blow. Shootings can happen anywhere. There was one inside the Horseshoe yesterday. If anything I commend the way this was handled.
What you don't mention is the awesome HOA, how well the property is kept up, and the people who live there. Its a great community of people,
