Dr. Sherman the true homie. Complete trust with the PC, complete resistance to the allure to SCP-8008 (aside from the bad ends, but I assume that only one of the good ends is canon?), he takes 682's acid blast for the PC, AND to top it off he attempts to negotiate with 173, an SCP he originally only saw as a monster, but trusted his friend enough to attempt to speak with this creature and not run away. He better become who we play as next time, or he better be just as cool
EDIT: forgot to mention, he's ALSO so focused on the task at hand even terrifying, deathly dangerous circumstances don't make him teeter off his goal

despite the obvious jokes and whatnot, scp-8008 is actually quite strong. giving the wearer to blink around scp-173 and be unharmed. Even having a conversation with scp-173 in real time, even though it seemed impossible to communicate with the statue in the first place. some parts are obvious hallucinations like the kissing and new forms but, others are very real. even being able to communicate with scp-096 without seeing them, knowing its very real requests. The glasses give the wearer a more comfortable perception of a monster/creature and very easily gives them a proper way of communication. It's actually really cool and if the side effect wasn't strange matching dreams, possible insanity, and certain death it would be a very useful scp to help proper communication and understanding. like with scp-682 and understanding its origin.

It's funny the game maker chosen these 3 specifically since it was canonical 096 and 173 were cross-tested with 682 to see which one can actually kill 682 lmao.

096 does not want a round 2 against 173.

I can imagine there being many ways to interpret the scps in the possible art. Maybe as viewers, we see their normal form, or maybe we get a half/half view of their body being normal while the upper half is anime'd up for the researcher's view

_The Anime Disease_ is a strong one. i wonder if the higher ups of the scp foundation are in more control and have the so called high ranking researchers are just an expendable resource as its expected for them to die. Kinda like lob co. Scp 8008 does have a psychic hold on you and thats how the hallucinations and voices play out which also could potentially repel the more physical anomalies. So any odd behavior recorded would have had the researchers abstain from continuous exposure. The anime disease got a hold of the protag real good and seems like you only really need to wear them once.

Scp 8008 is gone in the good ends, and this is my theory about what SCP 8008 is. I think SCP 8008 is a pair of glasses that gives the image of the beauty of what the thing in front of you is... Anyway, the reason it's missing is that in my theory to completely master SCP 8008 you have to fall in love with the object or thing and have them love you back this is why in the good endings where the love is 2 sided the glasses disappear. Because they have fused into the SCP and he has fulfilled that requirement. And now he is either considered an SCP himself or just forever has the power of SCP 8008. And that power is to make things love you and make them beautiful to you while at the same time make you beautiful to them, it may even be that the glasses project an image of what the person or SCP wants to look like.

@@Barbayat79 Seriously, she was in the last game as well and we know her more than Sherman yet he's the one who survives in pretty much every ending while Singer dies in every ending despite the difference in experience between the two. Seriously, couldn't they have made ONE ending where it's Sherman who dies instead of Singer? What's worse is that your character doesn't even try to save her and just fucks off. In the wheelchair endings it makes sense but in every other ending she just ends up dead for no other reason than "because she's fucking dead," They don't even try to give you the option where you can save both either, just you're all dead now.
@@starhammer5247 I'd assume it's because she's the one with the most experience with 8008 out of all the other researches, so it goes by the "she knows to much", especially since she did try to stop the others from using it for nefarious deeds, as seen in the locker scene.

Well, it technically is, but it never happened. There was no such thing as a “SCP speed dating incident.” If you remember such an incident, please contact site administrator for class A amnestics. Don’t ask Dr. bright about it.

@@turtlemine4613 This might be a stupid question but I found it really hard to navigate the wiki and I don’t know anything about SCP lore. Does all the SCP entries go in numerical order? Like if a new entry is added does it get the number directly after last entry?
@@lovetokawaii I understand, the site can be hard to work through at first. The entries canonically do go in numerical order (SCP-001 being the first SCP discovered, for example,) but in function it isn't as simple.
There are seven current "series" in the SCP articles. Each "series" consists of a thousand articles, Series I being 1-999, Series II being 1000-1999, etc.
Until Series VII is completed, you can take any untaken number between SCP-6000 and SCP-6999 for your article.
The first article written - that being the article that caused the site to form - is SCP-173.
Sorry if I explained any of this badly, feel free to ask any more questions or clarifications.

Unfortunately it has a 100% fatality rate and you'd need a person with a strong mental fortitude to even use it reliably.
I can see it’s usefulness for SCPs incapable or otherwise unwilling to talk in conventional ways but using the glasses for SCPs like 682 which are able to speak and are willing to under specific circumstances, I’d say using 8008 to communicate with them may be abuse of the object.
The characters move like characters from v-tubers,its interesting that a game has characters with this kind of movement,it makes moments more cute or goofy instead of scary or threathening with the exception being the times where we see scp-096 face because as adorable as they may be,those eyes really get you.
i feel it's important to know that Dr. Theron Sherman is the SCP scientist oc of popular SCP content creator Site-42, also known as Sherman. the real man has stated that his character is canonically asexual, and i'd imagine someone putting him in their scp fangame knows that, and i feel it is heavily implied that his asexuality spares him the negative side effects of 8008 which is really funny to me. also it being the oc of a real man is probably why we don't get a secret bromance route with him but man... i also kinda wish there was something with him.... but only if the real man is okay with it.
i didn't know that the oc was ace! That's pretty cool, and i love that its implied to be the reason why he's immune to those negative side effects.

In this game all the SCPs were Yandere, mostly, but I can imagine a Dating Sim when: SCP-173 is the clingy girl that demands all of your attention, SCP-682 is the Tsundere girl and SCP-096 is the Shy Girl, that makes sense to anyone? ^o^

Yeah they kinda had a normal conversation like sisters. While 096 and 682 fought each other. Then 173 saved the guy while most likely breaking every single bone in his body. Obviously the glasses work both ways. Made the deadly scp save someone.

To be fair, I'm actually impressed that this actually puts some proper context into SCP-682, and paints them in a better light than it seems. Although they hate humanity, which you are a part of, they do learn to tolerate you a little, and they are truly baffled when you actually prove to be a existence that they actually felt reluctant to kill for once. And in my opinion, that is very much in-character for 682.
Now, there are many interpretations of 682's mindset, the most common being a indiscriminate hater of life itself, and murderer of all it sees. However, in my opinion, I see that issue being more of a created desire rather than a voluntary desire, i.e it may be genetical, mental, or even spiritual, but not exactly emotional. They have no qualms to following that impulse to kill life, but they're not against being persuaded against it. That's how I believe that SCP-8008 actually provides a mean to placate 682, if only slightly enough to not be killed as another victim... or least not immediately. It might be an old being who sees humanity in contempt, as shown in one of the SCP stories, because of the negativity within the race (After all, it sees most of life as pests of varying sins and negative traits).
So kudos to the creator for actually making me feel a little sympathy for our memetic lizard-killer, without much of a side that nags me to say 'that's not how it works'.

I think that SCP-8008 isn't just affecting the wearer with hallucinations but it's also affecting the SCPs, otherwise they wouldn't have bothered with speaking with the MC, even if communication was possible. We see this when the MC went to speak to SCP-682, the creature ignored MC until he put on the glasses.
As for what they see, I imagine it would be a version of the MC that they could see as attractive, possibly as the same species as they are. The glasses work as a translator too so thoughts and intent are translated to their respective hallucinations.

Wont deny that with SCP-8008 scp-173 is cute physically, but shyness of scp-096 with scp-8008 is cute. Then again I like shy characters.
Although part of me wishes Dr. Singer didn't keep dying. Partly due to it being rare to have female scp foundation.
I personally think that there should've been an ending where she lives and we date Dr. Singer, instead.
