The quality!!! 😭😍❤️ it’s so beautiful!! YOU look beautiful 😁 and great tips! This is going to sound weird but I absolutely love how the natural light gives you a slight cyan cast on your left and contrasts with the warmer light on your right. It makes you look so alive and vibrant!! 🤩
One of my favorite tools has become a family tradition. It's a flat sheet of aluminum called the Dritz Ezy-Hem. It's marked with lines on it for the most common "turn X" under, press along fold" measurements, on both a long straight edge and a slightly curved one. I use it at the ironing board to press under folds, and it makes that job very easy - no pins needed. My mom taught me to use this when sewing, and I taught my daughter to use it as well. I've never seen anyone else use it, but it's still sold in most fabric stores, so somebody must be using it! One mystery ... printed on the tool is "for use in the Edna Bright Bishop method of clothing construction". I'm an excellent internet researcher, but found no mention of this method. And pointers would be welcome.
When I first started sewing I had a run of the mill JCPenneys sewing machine. While I was stationed in Germany during the early 80’s I invested in a Pfaff. I’ve only had it in for repairs once. It really did take my sewing to another level! It still does everything I need it to do!
When it comes to upgrading your sewing machine or even your first machine I always recommend finding an older machine. Used is great and generally older machines aren't computerized so they have cheaper maintenance costs.
