To confirm took it had codes ran...was right but guy also was sure o2 sensor was bad too on same bank as miss fire...new coils plugs running great no light!!!! Lesson to me is and you'd know o2 was getting unburnt fuel and reading goofed up....just a thought.... Great stuff!!!! One of the best at this!!!!!
Oh men great video thanks. But I'm having an issue with the 10mm nut to remove the coil. For some reason the whole screwed is rotating but the nut is not coming loose. With that in mind sir do i keep turning the nut with the whole screwed or what else can i do to get the nut off so i can take the coil out ?? Please need help that never happen so i don't know if keep turning & take the nut with the screwed to take the coil out or what can i do sir. I don't wanna break it. Help please sir
Having the same issue, the hardware securing my coil packs is a bolt instead of a nut/stud. It comes loose and I can pop the coil pack out but can’t actually remove it because the bolt just free spins.
For anyone else who may run into this issue. This happened to me my first time. It was just stuck. I put the mount stud back in and went back and forth on the 10m nut a few times until it finally separated from the stud and came off.
Thjank you very much. This is the best video on this I've seen. I have to do this in the morning and you are the only one to show how to remove the Air intake & how to get the cross bar out of the way. Thanks again.
Thank you sir I just bought one of these 2009, and man it eats up alot of gas imma have to check out the spark plugs. Do you have any other suggestions if the spark plugs are good and it still eating up gas would appreciate your in put.
Fuel pump/filter .. replaced in my 2007. Made a significant difference. Driving duke also matters. But at 65mph I used a little less than half a tank on a 135mile drive
I've been a Mopar technician for two decades and this is by far the worst video I have seen to change the plugs! The bar does not need removed, ample room to remove the air box lid and coil and plugs. No anti seize on the plugs and you do NOT use the coil to remove the plug! Use a magnet, so you don't ruin a coil and then tell the customer it was bad from YOUR mistakes! You also add dielectric grease in the boot to avoid future issues and moisture. I guess whatever works, but I work on all vehicles like they are my own and always get it done under book/rate time! Good luck, hopefully you don't cost customers extra money from lack of knowledge! I'd hate to see how you would attempt a 16 plug hemi!😒
Great video! I always blow some compressed air in the hole after the coils are removed, before I take out the spark plugs. You'd be suprised the crap that gets accumulated. Dirt, dried up leave pieces etc... I avoid dropping the plug down like that. I place it in the socket nice and snug in the rubber insert and gently hand thread them in place. Did you change the lighting Jim? Seems a bit darker than the other videos you've done. Keep up the good work!
Comes out without taking bar off ? Some guys make the job harder than it needs to be going by the book more hours more money but we are not getting paid by the book
Hi I am a European master tech. You don't appear to use fender covers to avoid damage to paint etc. Also you should use compressed air to blow out plug holes before removing old plugs then check for debris with a mirror or proper lighting. Also you didn't use lube on new plug threads,or silicone lube when refitting the coils over the new plugs . The new plugs should be torqued down. Any electrical connections should be refitted using die electric grease. You got the job done but I would have failed a test doing it like you. Good luck in future mechanics.

What about the other ones? I mean no one seems to want to show us how to change the lower cylinder. Every video I have found only shows the upper 8.
No anti sieze?
