You have an amazing way of transporting us and making this so beautiful to the ears and mind. It brought tears and smiles. I only wish we could hear you in person. Many blessings.
I've always thought this piece was over done. I mean it's like used at every wedding I've been to. But this performance - THIS performance has me loving it again. My favorite cover of all time!!
I honestly want to see a group get together and compose something using instruments from various countries. The Guzheng, Hand Pans, the Hurdy Gurdy, among others. Just to see what can be done with such a variety of instruments from different parts of the world.
That was incredibly beautiful! I loved it so much it brought a tear to my eye. I never would have thought that one of my favorite pieces of Classical music would be performed on a traditional Chinese string instrument. Well done!
I really love the guzheng, to me its as if someone took a piano, opened it up and laid it on its side (like a grand piano) and directly accessed the strings to play. The level of skill, knowledge, and artistry of this young lady is just astounding! Such a beautiful blending of classical western style mixed with classical eastern style. 🥰🥰🥰 I really love guzheng anyway, especially in the Cdramas, the deep, haunting tones~ that drawn out sort of twang that really seems to personify a feeling and clarify a moment. Although I have compared it to a piano in a way, there is really nothing quite like it in terms of tonality and the depth. While it's true that the bass, viola, etc can reach and draw out the tones for depth, those instruments can't quite get the same emotive twang or ripple between notes. Pipa and erhu can get the twang sort of, but not the depth. Guzheng is in a class all its own!
For me this is worlds best music instrument. The music it produce hits your soul in such way, tears wells up in my eyes each time i listen to this wonderful gift of china to the world.
Thank you very much for introducing people from all over the world to your art, folk instruments, their magical deep sound. True. Pachelbel was from the baroque period, and his music was played faster than during the following classical period. Nowadays canon is being played in slow classical tune, which is still incredible. But I really do enjoy the rock canon version which is closer to how the original canon is supposed to be played. I love your videos. I have linked several of them to my friends. I hope I am helping your channel grow even if just a small amount. You are super talented!
I’m always amazed at how much must go into arranging a complex, multi-instrument original piece to condense it and extract the key parts for a single player to play like this. Her Hotel California and others as well - the arrangement takes as much skill as the playing! Is it me, or does she have just a few hints of the styling of George Winston’s version of this piece (“Variations on Canon in D”)?
And hugs from Munich and then hugs - from space - after listening to this synthesis of European composition and the Asian soundbase. What a weaving of beauty - so that one dances - even while sitting. Thank you. Fare thee well.
Beautifully done: the music, the soft tones, the lady's features, the gown, the colours. Transcribing from west to east music is not easily accomplished: there is always a loss of essence - but here, a new essence is created. Plus, this transcription is from heptatonic scored to pentatonic scored, without losing the tonal and chord progressions. (meaning, she uses 5 notes to create the sound of 7 notes) Plus, this is a solo performance. Most remarkable. The young lady deserves very much more world attention. I'm a fan now. One question: why the facial veil?
The veil's just her little "tradition" she's done since she started making videos. There was an interview a while back where she says it was because she's self taught and at first she didn't feel as good as the professionals when performing. Obviously she's advanced super far and the veil is just a tradition now.
The way she play this song very differently gave me this feeling of " I believe i ever heard this song somewhere... But what song" But when she come to the iconic note of cannon rock, i admire her play style
thank you pachelbel and moyun for bringing joy to the world. the internet is a wonderful thing. without it world wouldn't have known such kung fu masters existed...and missed the wonder
wow.. what a masterpiece.. i love your version.. it perfectly preserves the "character" of the original but adds a new dimension of ghuzengs magic to it.. thank you!!!

this is Chinese guzheng, ancestor of Japanese koto, show the respect for the history and fact, even you dont like Chineseor China. guzheng is almost 1000 older than the copycat japanese one which was introdued to japan during tang dynasty. japanese even didnot change its name 筝,koto just its Japanese pronounciation ofthis 汉字😂. all the historical records is written by both countries official historical books, you can not deny it.😂
Bach would have been impressed! The progression through the different instruments and tunings really helped my western ears appreciate this beautiful instrument and the virtuoso player. Thank you!

It has never occurred to me Canon in D can sound this good on the Guzheng, perhaps even better than the traditional quartet. And the percussive part, that's inventive! I've never seen it before.

Beautifully played and all the transitions from one instrument to the next was both expertly and flawlessly carried out. Well done!
I absolutely love your playing! Hugs from Seville
me too !
BEST CROSSOVER I LOVE BOTH OF YER MUSIC
And hugs from Munich and then hugs - from space - after listening to this synthesis of European composition and the Asian soundbase.
What a weaving of beauty
- so that one dances - even while sitting.
Thank you. Fare thee well.
More than the technical skill I really love the passion and feeling that comes out, and goes right into the heart.
Classic answer - thank you.
Fare thee well @@Zoroff74
This brought me to tears with its beauty . Literally.
One question: why the facial veil?
her feature, she has been famous in China network for more than 10 years😂,
The veil's just her little "tradition" she's done since she started making videos. There was an interview a while back where she says it was because she's self taught and at first she didn't feel as good as the professionals when performing. Obviously she's advanced super far and the veil is just a tradition now.
She is amazing. Absolutely spectacular in her performance and she’s very pretty too.
Beautiful, gracious, talented, young lady, as so many are from the far East.
The way she play this song very differently gave me this feeling of
" I believe i ever heard this song somewhere... But what song"
But when she come to the iconic note of cannon rock, i admire her play style
thank you pachelbel and moyun for bringing joy to the world. the internet is a wonderful thing. without it world wouldn't have known such kung fu masters existed...and missed the wonder
wow.. what a masterpiece.. i love your version.. it perfectly preserves the "character" of the original but adds a new dimension of ghuzengs magic to it.. thank you!!!
Oh my goodness gracious.. I love this! I'm glad I found your video. Thank you for making this one. I love Canon and guzheng 😍
This is the most beautiful cover of canon I've heard so far
Love every bit of your talent! Compose modern music with ancient instruments! Astonishing!
喜歡你的每一點才華! 用古老的樂器譜寫現代音樂! 驚人的!

Beautifully played and a lovely rendition ❤❤
教主吉祥,老天賞了一雙神手指。真好聽。
What an elegant, excellent musician! WOW! Totally amazing performance!
Thank you from Australia dear Moyun, excellent!!!
That was beautiful. Well done girl, thank you ❤❤❤
我外行!但之前聽過古箏單調地彈卡農,真有天壤之別!這才是我想聽的豐富音色,太棒了!
Enthralling! One of my favourite pieces of music played beautifully - brought tears to my eyes. Thank you 😆
想不到这首歌用古筝弹奏这么好听! 感謝這樣美妙的旋律!感謝美女演奏者!Beautiful!!!!
This is the BEST version of Cannon in D I have ever heard. From the arrangement to the actual play, perfect in every way. Love to hear more 'western' classics being on this instrument.
Absolutely beautiful rendition of the composition!
Incredible. I’ve got goosebumps. Especially when you consider that each instrument was tuned differently.
Wonderful, fantastic, marvellous just love the way you play the Koto. Never seen other people play it the same way you do!.
this is Chinese guzheng, ancestor of Japanese koto, show the respect for the history and fact, even you dont like Chineseor China. guzheng is almost 1000 older than the copycat japanese one which was introdued to japan during tang dynasty. japanese even didnot change its name 筝,koto just its Japanese pronounciation ofthis 汉字😂. all the historical records is written by both countries official historical books, you can not deny it.😂
Bach would have been impressed! The progression through the different instruments and tunings really helped my western ears appreciate this beautiful instrument and the virtuoso player. Thank you!
This is the type of thing I could listen to on endless repeat. It's so good.
Sounds like harps from heaven. I didn’t hear such a beautiful instruments playing for a long time. Thank you for sharing this 👍👍👍👍👍
One of my favorite classical pieces, and what a beautiful rendition!
it sounds so beautiful. can't wait to hear more from you❤
A new Moyun video, yay, must listen straight away. As always your playing is mesmerizing and a total delight from start to end. Thank you for sharing.
This is fantastic, so beautiful and clear sound, especially the last variation, loved it so much!
This not only made me cry, I forgot to breath on several passages. Well done. Further proof that Asians can play Western music better than westerners.
Guzheng (Koto in japan), one of the greatest instruments ever created!
WOW! First of all, I’ve always liked Canon in D. I really, really, really enjoyed this version. You are an exceptional young lady with an incredibly exceptional talent. I just subscribed and will be listening to what you already have posted. I look forward to your future videos. Well done.♥️🙏
Holy smokes, your performances are mesmerizing!
I love all your work, your music lulls my nights . Kiss from France.
The only word I have for this is...BRILLIANT!!! The music itself was outstanding, and the transitions from one instrument to the next were absolutely FLAWLESS!!!
Without a doubt one of the most amazing things I've ever seen in my life!
Wowww, this's my favorite song.
Excellent performance🫰🫰
You're amazing.🥰
Thank you so much❤❤❤
I love the way she makes sharps and flats by depressing the string extensions ... tuning on the go! Very skilled and talented musician.
My favorite Moyun video. The only one I repeatedly come back to. She's amazing.
There are many excellent gu Zheng players on the internet. Moyun is my favorite.
Absolutely MARVELOUS..BEAUTIFUL….!! PERFECTION,!!
I am so grateful to live now when I'm able to see and hear an incredible artist from the other side of the world. Your music is beautiful no matter where it is heard. Thank you.
This was my bed time song as a child. thank you for some nostalgia.
2:34 coming in with that beat 🔥
I love everything she does, what an amazing musician. I cannot understand why anyone would downvote her.
Beautiful. One of my all time favorite songs.
💐❤❤❤👏非常精彩的演奏,技藝超群,謝謝分享🌹🌹🌹
It has never occurred to me Canon in D can sound this good on the Guzheng, perhaps even better than the traditional quartet. And the percussive part, that's inventive! I've never seen it before.
