That Gyruss machine is awesome. That's a very underrated game, and the game wasn't so popular that I'm guessing not many of those cabinets are still around.

Wow John what a great find, I loved visiting a huge market in Tulsa Oklahoma where I found heaps of videos and games. Yard birds looks similar to the paddy's market and brickworks market here in Adelaide Australia that were popular in the 80s and 90s but died out eventually

Man I envy you guys in WA you've got all these retro videogames stores. Around here there used to be Game Craze and it was great they had everything from Atari 2600 to Saturn from Dreancast to Switch and PS4. There were several stores across the city but they all closed down like 3 or 4 years ago so sad. I used to collect action figures and vehicles and my collection was massive but in 1999 I lost my job and had to sell everything dirt cheap because toy collecting wasn't what it is today. I lost 1,000s! I was collecting videogames but wasn't all the way in until this happened. Thanks for showing your road adventures it's awesome and cool video John!👉😃👈

Very nice things at that convention and used game store. However I seriously enjoyed seeing that Popeye arcade game - I would have spent some time on that for sure!

I had loads of the Hasbro Episode 1 figures all unopened almost all of them...sold them in hard times though, cool to see them again there...
Some of the Genesis prices are crazy. I am glad I got a lot of the genesis games while the console was in production. I cannot imagine starting a collection today.
Things like this remind me of being in college and visiting Funcoland. I could spend a lot of time at that store back then. I got some key games in my collection from there. It’s too bad they’re no longer around.
Also, the classic arcade games at the end of the video were cool to see. Arcades were always an exciting time back then. I didn’t get to go to one but about once a year while on vacation, but it was always a lot of fun. I think I enjoyed playing skeeball more than the arcade games, though!
I actually remember that when the star wars episode 01 came out and bombed me and my brother got like every figure and set along with the voice chip walkie talkie which read the chips that came with the accompanying toys. (They were about 50 cents to 2$ each)

i miss old flea markets ,don't have any in my area anymore.
I actually bought the special boxed edition of Lunar Star (2) along with the accompanying strategy guide soon after it first released for about 40$ total and I still consider it to be one of my favorite and valuable games
(The Hardcover Book with a Poster and Stickers along with a Reversible cover and sewn in bookmarks made from red cloth)

With prices going up, I've taken the approach of going for hardware- i feel like even if/when game prices go down, the hardware will still retain its value, especially with the advances in flash carts/ODEs and upscaling technology.
