That’s how I like my wash and goes to look 👍🏽😍
Agreed, big is better!
Your hair is fluffy and beautiful.
Thank you so much!
You made me fall in love with my natural hair all over again !! Thank you. It's so hard being a 4c girl especially when the curl pattern isn't prominent, but now I know what products help bring out healthy juicy curls, and I can be comfortable with a little frizz.
Yay! I love to hear that! It's all about being in love with your own hair and not trying to make it look like someone else's. Natural hair is beautiful, in all it's different textures.
The shape of her hair is everything! I need to shape mine, but I don’t wanna leave bald. Some hairdressers are too scissor happy. I have childhood trauma from bad “trims”😂
Thank you!! And yes, I know what you mean. I got this shape when I did my big chop and have maintained it since then
This is one of my favorite videos of yours so far.!
Hey Aisha! Your hair is bomb!!! Enjoyed the video!
Hi Sonia! Thank you so much!!
Hi Aisha, your hair is beautiful. Your tutorial made the most sense for my hair needs. The gentle yet firm grasping of hair sections while blow dying is the step I never did. I will do this from now on to beat the shrinkage and add fullness. Loved this tutorial. Cheers!
Thank you so so much for watching! I'm glad that you found my video to be helpful! It's all about fullness!
I’m so happy I stumbled across your channel. Thank you for your content. It’s helping me navigate through this natural hair journey. Your energy and voice is so refreshing and not over the top or animated like most other TH-camrs. I look forward to viewing more videos.
I loveeeeee Don’t shrink. It’s my go to gel for wash and gos
Isn't it so great!
I love how your hair looks, like the size of the curls seems unusual for me and it has a great shape
Thank you!
Love your curl pattern. You have such thick beautiful healthy hair.
Thank you so much!
I definitely enjoyed your video..after watching this just realized I have being doing the WNG method all wrong..thank you for this I'll definitely try your method..but girl your hair 😍😍😍😍 love
Oh really? How were you doing it? And no problem, thanks so much for watching!!
Your hair is so beautiful! I have never had my wash n go turn out beautiful I always throw them up into a puff. I'm going to try this method. 💜💙
Thank you so much! And give it a try, I hope it works out this time!
I just discovered you channel. Your hair is so gorgeous.. and I agree I used to want the wet look and my hair to look super defined. Now I like the defined and voluminous look. My hair also looks longer like that. I love Aunt Jackie’s gels too. I use it with Shea moisture’s Manuka honey curl milk underneath. It’s a staple
Exactly, I feel natural hair is at it's best when it's full and voluminous! Thanks so much for watching. I'll definitely have to give the Manuka Honey Curl Milk a try.
Beautiful results. I just stopped caring about the wet, defined look too lol. I will definitely try stretching, we have similar texture and density.
Haha! Yeah it's all about the big hair with some volume these days!
I used to hide my true texture through soggy wet gel looks ..now i crave the (fully dried) fluffy textured look!😆
Omg..you literally just said what i went through...i commented before watching...
Cute results! I have the same type of hair as you, my only hook up and why i dont do wash and goes are the puffy roots that occur.
Thank you! I usually try to add it a little more product to the roots to try to avoid it getting *too* puffy, but for the most part that helps with creating some more volume.
It came out bomb! I recently dried my hair with a diffuser as opposed to air drying and I definitely like that my hair didnt shrink up as it used to. I think I'll try this next to give it some stretch as I dry
Yeah I think it really depends on what look you're going for, I've been experimenting with a few diff drying techniques lately too. Let me know how this works for you!
@@AishaBeau I agree. I like big hair so I always stretch but in the past I'll air dry and band for stretch. But I think I'm ready to start using a bit of heat to style
👀So your technique is on point and you look GORGEOUS. Yessss to the red lip!
Thank youuuu!!
So how do you fresh your curls the next day
Hi, new subbie. While we have
Different textures and curls, i like your style. Im loving your thickness. Thx for the tips.
Btw, you are so beautiful without makeup. I love it.
Thank you for subscribing and I'm so glad you're enjoying my videos! And thank you for the compliment :)
First time on your channel......your hair is beautiful! I'll have to try the Aunt Jackie's Don't Shrink Flaxseed Gel!
Thanks so much for watching! It's a great gel, definitely my fav!
Love your shape!! Your hair looks BOMB
Thank you!
You have such gorgeous hair and a gorgeous spirit. Thanks so much for share as I always enjoy your content. Stay beautiful, beautiful! Lol
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your support!
My hair is almost like yours; it is defined when wet, my curls get frizzy when dry with or without gel.
Excellent video. I've been watching your older videos also and your hair has grown crazy fast! New Subbie.
Thank you so much! And thanks for checking out my older videos!! I appreciate it :)
Lovely video! I like the bathroom better for your back drop. It evokes feelings of relaxation 😂.
Thanks for shearing your tips. I will deff try using the concentrated novel for my next wash and go 💜🔥
Lol! I have never heard that feedback before on the backdrop, that's good to know! Thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing! Your hair turned out cute!
Thank you so much!
Your hair has a nice shine to it to
Thank you!

Omg! Your hair is so beautiful 😍 I don't know why I've never seen your channel before?? Just subscribed!❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much! I'm glad you found me :)
@@AishaBeau me too!❤️
Sis! WHERE. HAVE. YOU. BEEN?! *Subscribed!!! 🙌🙌
Hahaha!!! I've been here, thank for the subbie!!
I'm a first time viewer and I'm so glad I found your channel!!! Your hair is GORGEOUS and I will definitely try your method to see how my hair responds to it. I do have a question- do you have a favorite moisturizer and a favorite anti frizz/anti humidity spray?? I just did the big chop (almost 10 inches GONE) and I'm now rocking my natural hair. I just feel lost because I was so used to the permed hair and treatments, that now, I'm a bit out of touch as to what products are great products to use. (My texture is similar to yours, just that the curl is a tiny bit tighter.) I am THANKFUL for any and all suggestions!!! God Bless You!!! 💖🙏💖
Hey! Thank you so much and thanks so much for watching! My absolute favorite hair oil to add/retain moisture is the Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla Pure Hair Oil. And my fav humidity spray is the Mizani Thermasmooth Shine Extend Anti-Frizz Spray! Wishing you the best of luck on your journey, I have a ton of older videos from when I cut all my hair off that may be able to help you along the way. I always list out my products there!
@@AishaBeau Thank You so much for taking your time out and responding!! I will definitely check out your previous videos and these listed products!! I'm excited about this chapter of my life. I will be 51 in August and it has been over 40 years since I have seen my natural hair!!! I had COMPLETELY forgotten how beautiful our natural beauty as woman of color can be!!! 💖🙏💖
@@HoneyDM1 Of course! And happy early birthday!! Congrats on going natural, it's definitely a journey but its worth it :)

I’m not sure why I’m just discovering you but I’m so glad I did. I love your channel and your hair made me subscribe after one video. Looking forward to binge watching!
Wow! I'm so glad you found my channel too and that you're enjoying my videos. Thanks for watching!!
Hi Aisha😊Urgh I am so happy I found your channel, I just subscribed, because your tips are what I needed for my hair.. You are so beautiful and your hair is bomb😍
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you found my channel too! :)
Girrrrl, you and your hair is so beautiful!
Thank you so much!
Love this style so much! My problem when I do it is after a few days I get a BUNCH of one strand knots 😫 any recommendations on how to prevent that??
You’re gorgeous btw!
Hey!! Yeah, that is definitely kind of inevitable with a wash and go because the hair isn't separated like with a twist out. I will say my wash and go's don't last as long as my twist out, but the best way to keep them as long as possible is by keeping them moisturized. A good oil before bed and in the morning as a refresh has helped me with this issue, but honestly my wash and gos last 3 - 4 days before I have to re-do them.
In my experience, if you have type 4 hair, it’s nearly impossible to avoid single strand knots if you try to stretch your wash and go beyond 3 to 4 days because this hair type tends to dry out faster in this style. I usually cowash and redo my wash and go after the 3rd or 4th day. If I don’t have time to redo it, I choose a different style.
Detangle from your ends with a leave in conditioner or oil. Single strand knots occur when your hair is mad tangled and you just rush in and manhandle dry hair. So avoid that as much as possible (they are inevitable tbh)
Hi! 1st time viewer and new subbie! I noticed you didn't use an oil after your leave-in or applying the gel. Do you use oils? I've heard some naturals don't because it causes more frizz. What's your take on this? ❤ your makeup!
Hi! Welcome to my channel! And (face palm) I did kick myself after for not filming the oiling process. I am BIG on oiling my hair and scalp, moisture is key. So after adding gel and once my hair is fully dry (in the video it was only about 75% dry in the end) I then add on oil to help lock in the moisture. From there I add oil before bed and in the morning to maintain shine. I also usually add castor oil to my roots as I put in leave in conditioner but in this instance I was in a rush :( But yes, oil is super important to my routine!
I love your hair😍! This is by far the easiest method I’ve seen. I love the definition, volume but most of all this fluff and bounce🥰! I have the same texture of hair and almost the same length, so I can’t wait to try this out on my hair🤗! Thanks so much for sharing. By the way that’s my favorite blow dryer as well. New subbie here❤️
Nice!! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video, thank you so so much for watching and subscribing!
Also what I wanted to ask was how you maintain your curls for days/a week before wash day again??😊
I'm actually working on a video right now that showcases that! I keep it pretty low maintenance. I sleep on a satin pillowcase and refresh my hair in the morning and at night using oil. My wash and go's usually last about 3 - 4 days, whereas my twist outs last 4 - 6 days!
Aisha Beau yayy!!👏🏼🥰I can’t wait for the upload..
@@zeneamorkel3901 It's coming next week! I'm filming it over the course of the next few days :)
Aisha Beau Yayy!!😁😁😁😁😁

Love your results, beautiful hair!😊
Thank you so much!
Today is wash day and now I’m tempted to use the Aunt Jackie gel instead of the eco styler flax seed, I’ve only used it once.
haha! I love it so much!
Yayyyy......new subbie just found your channel and your videos are amazing!
Aw yay thank you for subscribing!
Wow your hair is beautiful
Thank you so much!
A wash and go should be an easy and fairly quick process so you can get on with your life! Lol
Right! Haha

Penny & Kakra Natural Hair Journey thank youuuu!
Loved your results! So beautiful! New subbie! I’ll be filming my wash n go tutorial soon too 😊
Nice!! Thank you so much!!
Your hair looks beautiful. WillI I have the same result if I just air dry it?
Thank you! And with air drying your hair is going to be a bit tighter/more shrunken. When it's blown out from the root that'll make the hair bigger. Nothing wrong at all with air drying though!
Love Love Love 💗
Lovely hair! Question - do you have much shedding while brushing/ combing out your ends?? I'm not having good results with my current method. I like your technique!! I think I may try changing and adding some of your tips/ tricks. Thanks so much for this video!!!!🙂💙
So the most shedding I have is when I do my full detangle method in the shower while washing my hair out. It depends on what style I had it in beforehand. So if I'm in the shower washing my hair and detangling after a twist out, I'll have a little less shedding than after an old wash and go because it tangles up more in that style. Also, the amount my hair sheds depends on how long I've had a style in as well, because again it tangles up more the longer you go without detangling. Usually when I'm onto the part of adding in leave-in conditioner and gel which you see here there isn't much shedding at all as long as I've fully detangled it in the shower beforehand. Let me know if that answers your question? Thanks for watching!
Yass hair!! Your hair is gorgeous
Thank you so much!
Absolutely love the results 😍😍🙌🏾🙌🏾
Thank you so much!
Hey Aisha, your hair turned out great!!! Using this method, how long do your wash and go last?
Thanks for watching! My wash and go's usually last about 3 - 4 days, my twist outs are usually longer like 4 - 6 days!
Amazing hair!!!😍😍
Thank you!
Beautiful curls 😍
Thank you!
You get nice hair ...see your channel ♥️👌

Hey

It looks great
I can’t wait until my hair gets this length
How long have you been natural?
Thanks

Hi Marie! I got my big chop on August 31st 2017, so it's been little over a year and a half!
Awesome video. Your hair looked great. You did an excellent job explaining your step by step routine. Will definitely try your technique. Thanks for sharing. New subbie here as well!!
Awesome!! So glad you enjoyed it, and thank you so so much for subscribing!
Have you used any of the Innersence gels?
I haven't, I've just used their hair mask, shampoo and conditioner, leave-in and hair oil. I have their new Whipped Cream Texturizer but haven't used it yet!
New sub 😊your hair is beautiful! Does the gel make your hair sticky?
Thank you! And my hair definitely feels sticky when it's still wet, but once it dries there is no stickiness at all!
Hello , new subscriber. Your hair looks good. Thanks for sharing. Btw, love the 💄
Welcome to my channel! And thank you so so much!
Beautiful. What heat setting did you use?
On this particular blowdryer it has low, high or cool. I usually use the high setting which isn't too hot, just more rapid!
Did you do wash & gos everyday when you big chopped? And how many times a week?
Enjoy your video, Beautiful curls
Thank you!
Beautiful hair
Thank you!
How long does it normally take you? For me at least 4 hrs start to finish
Start to finish from washing to styling about 1.5 to 2 hours total, depending on how quickly i'm trying to hurry through!
Question... how do you wrap your hair at night?
Sigh, so this question always makes me a little nervous to answer because what I do doesn't necessarily work for everyone. I've tried the pineapple and it always makes my hair flat or dented. I've also done just a bonnet but then it makes my hair too compact. I usually just sleep on my satin pillowcase from The Hollywood Silk Solutions: www.thehollywoodsilksolution.com/collections/all-products/products/pink. It's pricey ($45) but I've had it for a while and take it with me on vacation. It keeps my hair looking nice for multiple days. With natural hair no matter what you do at night, frizz is inevitable, but with this pillowcase, I've found that my hair still looks good for multiple days.
Aisha Beau thanks for responding. My hair is a little shorter than yours and I’ve tried multiple ways of persevering my curls and nothing works well for me, which is way I don’t like wash n go’s for me. Thanks for your input!!!
Hair is beautiful😍😍 but that lipstick, is poppin...
Thank you!! It's one of my favorites
Gorgeous 😍😍😍
Thank you!
Do you seal your hair with oil after you blow dry it?
Yes!
I been having this gel for a while and haven’t tried it but imma put the ecostyler up and try this and your hair was so cuteee !
Thank you so much! It's such a good one, let me know how you like it!
Does your hair get tangled or cut up by the end of the Denman brush teeth? I would like to buy a brush like that, but the one I had used to trap my hair and break it. Thx for answering!
Lillie hey, I own a denman and it doesn’t rip out hair it’s pretty flexible and thoroughly detangles through your hair. But you would HAVE to make sure it’s the denman brand name. I made the mistake of accidentally buying the wrong brush, although it looked the same. That brush ripped my hair out so make sure u get the denman.
jenny E thank you for letting me know. My problem with the brush I have is the tip of the bristle. The hair gets tangled in it. I hope this one does not have a similar architecture. I think that adding the balls at the tip of the brush only creates knots or breaks the hair strand.
Lillie I hate those brushes my hair always gets stuck. I avoid them like the plague. But definitely try the denman it was my first good experience with a brush
jenny E thank you
Hi Lillie! It doesn't, and similar to what Jenny said below you should make sure it's the Denman brush brand. Also when detangling always start from the ends and work your way up so you aren't ripping the hair out. Lastly, when you detangle make sure your hair is very saturated with water and a moisturizing conditioner or leave-in.
Once you apply your leave in... you apply the gel right after?! I’m seeing that you’re not spraying more water on your hair and your hair isn’t soaking/dripping wet before you apply the gel! You style without water?!
Hi! My hair is damp as I style. I don't like my hair to be dripping wet when I style :)
Wow j'adore 😍
Thank you!
I purchased a Denmon brush and it just didn’t work for me it pulled out to much hair I had to learn that my hair does better with a rake comb
Ah darn! Well it's good the rake comb works for you!
Came out beautifully! i bought that gel recently and was going to return it after reading all the negative feedback on its ingredients... After seeing you use it too I'm now inclined to keep it. lol. Any thoughts about the ingredients?
Hi! This is a good question, I think what has turned most people off may be that the gel includes a number of preservatives, which gives it a longer shelf-life. To be honest, I've used it for a majority of my time while being natural and haven't come across any issues with my hair. I don't see too much negativity about it, but maybe I'm not looking in the right places. What are others saying?
@@AishaBeau thanks so much for responding! Your hairs looks very healthy so I'm sure it's just an individual's experience and ultimately an individual's decision. The main thing I've read is the presence of lye or sodium hydroxide in the gel which naturally curly has stated the manufacturers explained is meant to "loosen" curls rather than to be a preservative. I imagine the amount of sodium hydroxide in this gel is not great and may be used as a pH balancer??
I use the same gel, occasionally. I love it my favorite.
@@trinimaican2501 Hi! Thanks so much for giving me the exact reason you saw. You are right about the pH--the low levels of Sodium Hydroxide in hair care products (it's in a few other natural hair products as well) is to help balance out the pH given the other potentially acidic ingredients. Since it then neutralizes it does no damage or loosening of the hair. I think what you're seeing is most people noticing the ingredient but not doing the research as to why it's included. As someone who's used this product for almost 2 years, I haven't seen any loosening of my curls or damage to my hair as a result of it. I appreciate you bringing this up because I'm sure others watching the video may be hesitant as well! Thank you again!
@@reneeknight1028 Yeah, it's great!
Do you think I can use a curl smoothie in replace of the leave in?
Hi! A leave-in has specific properties that help to retain the moisture in your hair and is a good base. So I'd always recommend a leave-in and then any type of curl smoothie/cream or styling product!
Love ur hair! Who did the cut? Do u cut ur own hair?
Thank you! I got it cut by Mo Knows Hair (she's on TH-cam) a little over a year and a half ago. Since then I've been trimming it myself!
@@AishaBeau oh ok...looks great! Yw😊
Aisha Beau She closed her salon 😩
Oh no!!! Dang! Hmm, another person I've seen who's good with curly cuts is this woman @themonacut on Instagram. I haven't gone to her personally, but I've seen some good work from her.
Love it.💃🏾
My Wash n go’s always end up making my hair really dry by the end of the day. What do I do??😭
Wash and go's can definitely be drying. So I try to use a moisture rich leave-in like the Kinky Curly Knot Today Leave-In Detangler or the Camille Rose Coconut Water Leave-In Detangling Hair Treatment. Also, the Aunt Jackie's gel isn't harsh on my hair. Once my wash and gos are fully dry I always add on oil to help seal the moisture. And i refresh my hair with oil every morning after.

Thank you so much!
How long does this wash and go last?
