I completely agree, nostalgic and bittersweet - we will never know that feeling anymore, when we still had so many years ahead of us, now we're much older much wiser but still passing thru it, going thru the motions, rolling with the punches. I hope you're all well and happy and safe
It was really interesting, a several years ago back in high school (I’m 23 now) I had this specific song tune stuck in my head from when I was obsessed with dcfc and the postal service at like age 13 and hadn’t heard this song in years. I was in probably one of my closest places with God I had been in at the time even though I was still dealing with my own girly hs issues, and just learning about who god was and devoting a lot of time to seek him. I had this tune from the original song stuck in my head for days and couldn’t remember the name of it so eventually I looked through postal services songs and figured out it was this song, and once I heard it I felt impressed in my spirit, like a thought in my head but wasn’t from me telling me that “this is how I feel about you” from God and I looked up the lyrics and just started bawling. I ended up finding this acoustic version I like a lot more than the original, it feels very intimate and every time I hear it over the years I’m brought back to that same over whelming loving feeling from Him. Jesus is a gentleman, so exquisitely so.
