Yes you can, but as soon as the food is cooked, just take the cooked vegetable out in another vessel. Keeping sour food in cast iron for long leads to leaching. :)

Thank you.. My fridge is LG n it's bit different compared to spacing.. Basket is small n door doesn't have much racks.. Regular racks spacing is also less.. Not happy with my fridge.😒😉... But il try some of ur tips..
