Great video, I think to biggest factor that separates these missiles are their energy retention against a maneuvering aircraft. R-77 will bleed speed at a higher rate then the 120A/B
@Dovacat reason I ask for python 4 is to demonstrate to others how the python 4 is outclassed by mica. I need to make my case that python 4 being introduced is not as big of a deal that many people think it is
@warthundershowcasing8905 I did a video comparing the p4 to the r73 a bit ago, when it was first added to the files. Keep in mind tho that this version in files is far from complete, it only has 19 degrees of AOA. IRL the p4 can do a 180 in 3 seconds l
@@Dovacat I showed others that video of P4 vs R73 but they said that the video is outdated since R73 had changed since then. And P4 doing 180 in 3 seconds might require 70Gs, and no missile has combined plane ingame yet
@warthundershowcasing8905 I'm working on a remake right now comparing all 3. As for the Gs, they are dependent on speed. This is why even though the magic 2 pulls 33g and the mica pulls only around 24, the mica turns tighter as it is flying slower. The 180 in 3 seconds is fully achievable at a 50g limit, but in the python 4s case it's fins don't pull enough AOA to make it happen in game, it needs closer to 45 degrees of fin aoa instead of the 19.8 is has currently
@@Dovacat interesting. When they change they missile wobble, do you think you could make another video and chart like this for the updated long range performance?
@@Dovacat the Derby and MICA in particular really wobble, and it eats into they’re range. Especially on the Derby rn, because it loses more speed form the loft than it gains, while it should gain a massive amount of energy from the loft. Idk, maybe I’m just using it wrong rn, I’ll have to try some new strategies
@@batlax18 he's performing this against bots flying basically perfectly straight. In game you are fighting people that are not only making micro movements but that also have ping, on top of yours. He doesn't have any ping in this test environment. No ping, with an extremely stable AI target = no wobble.
@joaopaulovianaladislau4105 the main problem with the r77 is that it loses a ton of speed while maneuvering, so vs a non cooperative target it loses energy incredibly fast

@TheConnorM yeah, that's why I had the speed over time graph at the end

did you remove missile wobble for this test? they appear to be wobbling WAY less than how they do in game

Did this test occur before or after the update came out?

R-27ER overperforming as usual
How so?
It underperforms in top speed by 100 m/s and frontal launch range by as much as 20% in this scenario based on primary source materials.
@@K_GHOST225 so the ER is underperforming?
@@K_GHOST225Energy retention is another story tho.
