Petrichor Pond Re-Vamp, Part 1

Once again we're tackling the pond... The Papyrus Palm has taken over, again, and this time it's getting removed. We cannot keep the water clean, we can't even keep it a light shade of green & I'm tired of not being able to see the pretty fish. We were gifted a 300 gallon stock tank and we're putting it to use. We'll completely empty the 1,000 gallon pond, put the fish in the 300 gallon one for now while we remove the plant & scrub the big pond clean. We'll re-fill it, put all the fish back in and re-home large sections of the plant to the smaller pond. That will make more room for the fish & hopefully cleaner water too. We'll have to re-do the waterfall as well. This will take us several days to complete so keep watching for updates as we work it all out & wish us luck. it's a big job!

Hello my traveling friend! I wish I had a real pond but that's not gonna happen here in the desert so we keep trying. I'm ordering a sunshade for the pond in hopes that'll help with the algae after the plant is gone, it's a constant battle here but I do enjoy my fish so it's worth the work.
