I actually just bought a pair of these and purchasing another next week. Excellent job. I find that 22 inch smaller style hedge trimmers do a much better job than the longer ones.

Hi, I always found it was best to use a lawnmower for lawns, hedgetrimmers do work on lawns but it takes ages!

Do the sides first always as it's less cutting that way.

This is an excellent machine and though I have the Husqvarna 122HD60 which gives a better finish and is far more comfortable to use it is still the best all rounder. Billed as a homeowner model, it is very capable of commercial use and goes through some pretty bug stuff! If by some chance it can't cope, the 81R or the 522 comes out! For homeowners, it's perfect and will last for many years and at a great price, highly recommend it!!!

Funny you mention the quality of finish, me and my brother call em hackers cause of that one-side-each blade design. But they do have a uniquely smooth rough cut to them imo

@@BlondeWick. The Husky gives a better finish, but the 45 is probably a better all around better machine. I have the 81R, 45, 122 & the 522,just to cover all bases!

How many inches are your blades?
We do $85.00 cut , not bad for 11 minutes of cutting. Grass cutting are higher. $475k/yr is not bad for working only 9 months.

Stihl HS 45 hedge trimmer is MADE IN CHINA incase anyone is wondering, so just know that. I was pretty disappointed when I found the hidden sticker after paying 299 from a dealer. I buy Stihl products and pay that extra money because I want a quality built and long term durability. Well it's not a actual stihl product and just another rebranded pos. I'll make sure everyone knows it's China made.
