The question is will it be able to stay out of the ship yards having constant repair like the Prince of Wales. Every time if left port it broke down. The Queen Elizabeth has done better but it has some issues that made it to the ship yards too. Maybe they will use the same engines as their Type 45 destroyers that overheats and shuts down when they are in warm waters!
Also 20 fast stealth inshore patrol vessel platforms. 6 surface to air missiles 6 surface to coast missiles. Two Bofors gun. Two mini gun Two gpmg. 1 main gun. 20 royal marines commando

15+ Forts were meant to be binned off 2010. The Rosie and Austin were f**ked in the mid 2000s. The Vicky and George had some life in them, but they had way smaller ammo capacity compared to the older forts.
When will the UK MOD publish a detailed List of UK Manufacturers that will supply content for the FLEET SOLID SUPPORT PROGRAMME? UK Manufacturing matters, From steel, propellors, rudders, shafts, and every significant component on each and every ship. Please remember that it is the UK taxpayer that foots the bill, why are any European companies involved in this project?
Realistically, we do not have the capacity to make these alone at the moment (the two yards that can will be busy). That is why as part of the programme to build these ships, Harland and Wolff (in Belfast) will be rebuilt back up to a shipyard capable of making them. Contributing increasingly greater amounts with each ship and doing final assembly on all 3. That is the premise Navantia won this contract under. This programme is half about the actual ships, and half about rebuilding British shipbuilding.
Then why is Harland & Wolff in the consortium? That's Northern Ireland, part of the UK, so they will be partially built here, otherwise why would they be involved?
Large and slow behemoths that are vulnerable to attack by submarines, aircraft, missiles and fast attack craft. You can build 150 updated Liberty class ships faster and cheaper

Just came out with the ballistic MISSLE attack on isreal that UK can’t even stop one of these. You can’t be a country threatening Russia without at least this capacity

Who's gonna crew them? Barely get enough crew to stand up to populate the RFA ships as is. Stick Navy personnel on them and you have same low numbers problem and they will lose certain berthing and transit privileges.

Are you sure about the tonnage? As big as that ship is, you'd expect it to be heavier.
