I was on a Warhammer buying binge about four years ago. I became very interested in the detailed painting aspect - not so much in the game itself. My first kit was the Ork Killa Kans - which I heavily modified with other parts from my regular 1/25 scale auto parts bin. From there, I purchased about 50 other sets, which mostly ended up in the back bed room closet. I have painted a couple sets of various demons and goblins with plans to build some dioramas using 1/35 scale vehicles. One of these days. I do tend to like the newer releases that have more accessory parts and variations than the older kits. Also found a parts pack that was only skulls.....pretty cool.
Oh wow, that skeleton box was the gateway for me lol. Super easy models to get your feet wet. Black prime. White dry brush and then wash. Super simple techniques that work great on skeletons.
Thanks James! They're perfect for me to start learning how to paint miniatures. "Not My Real Name" pointed out that most of the smaller box models were probably repackaged from the Warhammer Quest Game (or possibly Hero Quest?). I might start going to garage/yard sale more!!! :)
I used to collect Warhammer A LOT when i was a kid!! They have the coolest figures!!. I'm a dinosaur-fan myself so i always picked their lizardmen when i bought a new pack 😄🦖🦕🐉🐲🦎...
I had so so many Warhammer items in the late 80s and 90s. Never played the game, never painted anything... I wish I had them now!!!!! I 100% agree about the dinos and lizardmen! 👍
Yeah...I'll agree. But for older things like this, I thought it might be neat since it wasn't a new product that EVERYONE can do an unboxing video with! :) I'll admit, though... that I might be looking at more garage sales now. I LOVE to find vintage board games!
Yes - a mix of WQ and (I think) Talisman. I've got WQ - bought it from Tunbridge Wells GW back in the day but didn't see these stand alone packs at the time - would love to have spares.....
So you invested $4.00 US, cool, now how much will that first spray can of primer be ? LoL. Looking forward to, what will you do ? with these figures..................cheers Eh!

It's pretty cool to scratch build/modify any models. I did that quite a bit 25 years ago with star wars models! 😉

Hey! Always keep old sprues... you never know what scratch-building need they'll fill!!!!

Total score for 4 bucks. The first metal mini is from Reaper miniatures inc. in Texas, thus RMI on the base.
