I was an event planner in Seattle for years. When I would ask my clients why they booked with us their #1 answer was I called them back promptly. We weren't everyone's 1st choice at the phone call stage, but we became their 1st choice very quickly. IMHO, that is the first rule of any customer service. Promptly respond. Well done Monica!!!

I've struggled with insomnia so much and here are my tips:
1. Stop consuming caffeine completely (I do decaf now)
2. Take sleep supplements every night - magnesium, glycine, gaba, and apigenin
3. Try to go to bed at the same time every night
4. Eyemask! My room is already pretty dark but this helps block out that extra bit of light from electronics, appliances, etc.
5. Cut out alcohol (this one sucks but has reduced my anxiety a LOT)
6. Breathing exercises and affirmations (when lack of sleep is anxiety related)
7. Sleep music - I listen to the same playlist every night
8. Ask for help. I get anxious when I have to wake up early for an event if I'm out of town, so I ask my husband to call me in the morning to ensure I'm awake

Hi Monica, good to hear from you! It’s funny, we are in Palm Desert right now, and we bought a little place up in WA state, so kind of the opposite of what you are doing. Also, I love Gelsons too, but it’s definitely a specialty store, can’t shop there all the time! I also bought a mango from there, and I will say, I don’t remember the price but it was the BEST DANG mango I have ever had! So juicy and delicious. I made poke bowls, they also have a poke bar! So good! Your parents community sounds like where our friends live, Bermuda Dunes! They have a pool in their area, and golf right outside their door!!

Sun city really is the coolest community, I loved visiting ❤ my grandparents actually had the same exact floor plan as your parents before they sold and moved up to the Bay Area
It is a windy area. With alot of blowing sand. Many homes for sale in sun city

Welcome back! It fills my heart to see you so happy. Get your California license so I can have you help me here in Sonoma county to buy some buildable land. I've been so inspired by you and your sisters videos on alternative housing I want to buy acreage and do something cool and unique on it. Maybe a prefab or some other alternative building method
I avoid some stores because of the price, good thing you realized it for that store.
Your suppose to peel the mango then cut it slicing down along the “lines” of the meat.
Or lay it down flat and cut on both sides of the seed.
I lived in Hawaii for a few yrs(on top of going there all growing up. My parents fell in love with HI and there was always cheap airfare from Alaska to Hawaii

I have about 20 years to go before I can age into the 55+ demographic but I wish I could find a community like the one Monica's parents moved in to for that for my age demographic as I have struggled with my desire to find a peer group to plug in to (especially since outgrowing HS and the friendships that period of my life afforded me)...
When you are in the Palm Springs area you should try shopping at Stater Bros. They are a local chain and are super affordable 🥬🥭🥒🥑🍅

I have to agree with your mom about doing real estate where she lives. I can't imagine hiring a realtor that's flying in from out of state , that to me that shows a lack of commitment to the market.
To each their own! I’ll be back in Seattle full time around the end of March, and in the meantime spend about 30% of my time/dedicate every weekend to still being there. Hasn’t been a problem for my clients and myself but I also don’t blame you for feeling that way! Makes sense.
Then don’t hire an out of town realtor 🤷🏼♀️ lol. Clearly she is getting business
I am the same with the alarm. I can tell myself to wake up at a certain time and i usually will wake up 5-10 minutes before that time, but with an alarm I'm so terrified of oversleeping i wake up every 30 minutes to an hour and end up oversleeping because I'm too exhausted to hear the alarm.
