    Say it again about split ends. Some stylist are telling their clients the reason their hair isn’t growing is because your cosmetologist keeps cutting off your split ends. Split ends work like a run in your pantyhose. Cut them off NOW or you will have a head full of dry, frizzy, lifeless, damaged hair natural or chemical treated.

    • @Girl-tr8mh
      @Girl-tr8mh 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Agreed, I recall asking my hairdresser who had long hair like me,,, you shouldn't be coming in for at leaste 16 weeks if u want it long. These girls who go every 6 8 weeks for trim and colour.... it's never going to grow.
      Cut the split ends and LEAVE iT ALONE. Gettinga trim every 6 weeks chops your growth clean off.

    • @sheliamurdaugh4259
      @sheliamurdaugh4259 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @Mariah Fox your hair grows from your scalp what does trimming your ends have to do with your hair growing to your butt cheeks. Are you telling me because you don’t trim your ends that’s why your hair is to your butt cheeks. I know other people that trim their end regularly and their hair is down to their butt cheeks. What is the point you’re trying to make. 💁🏾‍♀️

    • @sebumpostmortem
      @sebumpostmortem 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      What is the relation between the *follicle* phases + our genetically programmed telogen and split ends?
      Human hair grows an average of 1-1,5 cms per month from the scalp. What you do with the ends, completely disconected from the root, won' t have any effect. The follicle actually doesn' t know what' s happening down there😅. It keeps on doing its work and following its 4 phases.

      @Indigenous Girl xo That’s cuz the person you know has hair that either grows faster than their rate of breakage, or their hair is so resilient, it can handle not being cut. Some people are just lucky like that, but these people are exceptions to the rule cuz most people need trims and what not to keep their hair healthy.

I have seen salons that have their clients face forward and they get a better wash and rinse. That way they can see the nape and make sure it's washed properly. Just remember that the brain stem is near where you rest your head on that hard porcelain sink.

    I recently found your channel and have learned so much. I too have suffered from a tender head. It was so bad. I tried many different products but didn't find relief. Then one day my daughter reminded me of my sensitivity to vitamin C. My hands would itch if I ate too much, but I had not considered that it was also causing my tender head. That was it. I cut way back on foods with Vitamin C and my head was not so tender. Such a relief. If I eat too much vitamin C it will make my head itch and then become very tender. I just mention this so if someone else is seeking relief they may want to check into food sensitivities/allergies. Best to you.

    The Scalp Care is a treatment for dandruff, dermatitis, and you used it to loosen dirt & buildup. You used the bottle nozzle to part the hair & touched her scalp. Set aside. That bottle will then be used on other people, one after another, all with possible issues going on. That's bothersome.

    • @hrhsophiathefirst4060
      @hrhsophiathefirst4060 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup, I bring my own products including nozzle to the salon and insist on clean tools where possible.

    It looks Amazing!!❤❤❤❤❤. I would like to know where are you located? I like the way you cut her hair. She had damage but you did not completely cut it off. You gave it just the right amount of trim. You’re not a scissor happy stylist!! There are so many people out here who claim to be experts, but are scissor happy, don’t care enough to study the hair to create a unique style,and don’t even care about the client’s feelings about their hair cut, and lie about their advanced techniques just to charge more money. You are awesome!! Your work shows that you enjoy what you do!!❤❤❤❤❤ You my friend are one of the few who actually care about the customers and enjoy assisting them to get their hair on a healthy path.

    YOU ARE BOMB! We, too often, equate health with length. My hair was down my back and so split and hurt and two weeks ago I got it chopped. I had never cut my hair outside of a trim (that I did my self). At the first cut I felt soooo free! And my hair has never looked better! Your videos remind us at every length there is beauty🙌🏾🙏🏾💕

    • @slandiy5488
      @slandiy5488 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are so right, health doesn’t mean length. I cut my hair myself two weeks ago and I feel so good about it. Getting rid of the damaged and unhealthy hair feels so good.

    First I don't think people realize that you don't do every little thing on camera, you're not going to leave shampoo all over her ear and neck. Lol.
    Second, I know I'm a white person, well actually I'm mostly Native American, but I enjoy learning from you and seeing how nice you make hair. This lady's hair is gorgeous and I don't think I've ever seen natural hair look this silky and beautiful without a ton of products but you didn't do that, so applause that takes a professional who knows exactly what they are doing. Hearing you talk about every hair is different and needs different things, I was like yesss. My hair is a mess and I would love you to do it! Excellent job, keep educating people the right way. Ain't nothing worse than someone out here giving people the wrong information and all. So keep it up!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

    Before you did the silk thing and the lady's hair was a tight wave and you twisted it into a French roll to get it out of the way, I thought that it looked fabulous just like that. I hope that she wears it up because with that much volume it was an amazing look.

    I loved what you said about knowing your client's hair and current condition. My mom is Puerto Rican and is about a 3B/C with low porosity and fine hair. She has trouble finding black beauticians (she doesn't trust white ones with her, lol) because a lot of times they just go through the motions doing the same thing on different heads which is typically too much for her hair. This client's shine was good, she takes good care of her scalp (that is what gives me shine)! Mine is the same. I may have used a bit of protectant still, but I'm not doing her hair. She just didn't need a lot of product. I typically just use a deep conditioner (Husk or Mielle) and a touch of leave-in like you did here. I focus more on cleansing and stimulating the scalp (I massage my scalp as well for blood circulation) and deep-conditioning. I also use a good amount of sleek and shine protectant when flat ironing my hair and try not to do more than 1 pass. The cut is excellent! Brava! Fantastic job.
